If we have Luuk de Jong/Bas dost and Douglas/ Pieters in the summer would be great signings.
Would like a midfielder too, especially as it looks like Guthrie wont be re-signing.
Yes centre back, midfielder, striker (assuming Ba or Best goes). Then I think we would be sorted.

There a couple of players that play for the teams that could get relegated that Newcastle should take a look at.
Blackburn's Hoilett and Hanley.
Wigan's Moses and McCarthy.
Bolton's Eagles.
Wolves's Fletcher, Hennessey and O'hara
QPR's Diakite. {Ed001's Note - what about McArthur of Wigan too? He always looks the better player of the two Scots in midfield to me.}
What about the Korean from Bolton who's been out injured and Holden both really good players. And i would look at Jarvis and Kightly from Wolves. QPR isn't Diakite on loan with view to sign him at end of season? other player from them could be Faurlin and Traore.
Good point, I only Mentioned the players that came off the top of my head.
Jarvis would be great but I'm not to sure about Traore, I've watched him make too many sloppy mistakes
Sorry but buying players from relegated teams just dont make sense. Only one is hoilett. The rest are garbage and would not get in our first 11. Let them over the water have them
Fair enough but there is such a thing as back up, Fletcher would bring a great aerial and physical threat, McCarthur would be great back up and would bring solidarity and Moses is a great future prospect.
Teams get relegated for a reason, bacause there players arent good enough, havent we learned our lessons siging players from relegated teams? Bramble, O'brien, Dyer to name just a few!
I would take Moses form Wigan if they go down and Holliett from Blackburn if they go. Also Hanley looks a good prospect.
On the other hand Parker went down with West ham and no one can deny the impact he's had at spurs...
So should we get rid of Colo and Guttierrez? cause they were in the team when we got relegated and that makes them rubbish right?
