If I was pardew, I'd make sure we lost all the preseason games and maybe the first two in the league. Maybe that'd panick old fatty into buying some players again.

I'm as frustrated as anyone with our lack of signings but setting up to lose games is one of daftest things I've ever heard!

How do you know that we aren't in any negotiations? They are just trying to keep the media away

With JK in charge, they would be as well to keep the press away permanently.

I think we should go for Rodrigo Moreno of Benfica, great young striker and very quick and skilful. Maybe ola john as well? Probably won't happen though, but I think they are the kind of players we need

villa will wait to see who bids for Benteke, before selling Bent,, can't see them selling both strikers, maybe Benteke could be the bent were after just never finished the sentance with players name in it, odemwingie at wba might happen! get a proven scorer for a few mill, till we find a young alternitve striker.

I think a few fans on here are being very fickle about Ashley. You are pre-judging him, saying that we won't spend. Do you really think that? The fact that we bought in 6 players in 11/12 finished 5th, then in 12/13 we bought in 1 senior player and finished 16th, that will be ashley's logic now (as he doesn't know much about football) he knows he has to bring in at least 2 decent players, at good value for money with good sell on value every summer transfer window.

If you didn't realise, but bringing in a director of football was a very good move, ok it could of been someone better but the fact that JK knows a lot more about football than llambias, he'll be able to sort out deals much quicker.

September 1st will be the time to judge ashley.

JToon you follow blindly constantly. Ashley has zero interest in Newcastle other than to keep their the PL and milk the profit from doing that. We have missed out on loads of targets already due to the price being to high for him. What does he thinks good strikers costs these days? We will buy nobody of note until we sell Cabeye. If he stays we will get Bent and that's it. Take the blinkers off.

Ashley has been there over five year, he stated that he has a five year plan. No September isn't the time to judge him.

I think getting the club out of debt and in the black has been fantastic for us. But Ashley not willing to spend is killing us at the same time!

We don't have a big enough squad, end re-enforcements at the back, mainly at Right Back and Centre Back. We all know Jonas is terrible and past it, we need a left winger. We also need a new forward, as the one we are using now needs to go to SpecSavers and learn the offside rule!

Do I really think MA won't spend, YES! He never has, and don't kid yourself thinking he did in January, he only did that to try and keep us in the league. (For obvious reason that been in the Premier League gives teams a fair bit more money than been in the Championship!)

So if MA knows he has to bring in two players of good quality every summer e. g. first team players. Why did we only bring in one last summer, Anita?

If Ashley doesn't know much about football then he should leave the club alone and appoint someone to run it for him! Ashley does what he wants and bring in who he wants!

If we sell Cabaye, he won't be replaced! And I don't think the money would go into the squad. Maybe reinvested back into the team.
E. g. what he did with the Carroll money and bought us a Class A Academy.

If Cabaye goes we won't get another like him, but we will probs' will get another striker! Then it will be young players after that! (if we're lucky).
Ones not proven, ones for the future. Planning for the future isn't a bad idea. But you also need to be buying for now.
