Just returned from a holiday in Madeira and while there I went to the Maritimo ground where Newcastle play this Thursday. Its like a big bowl up a steep hill (Funchal is all hills!) and is being modernised so dont expect any comfort!. The setting is fantastic overlooking the capital. Anyone going will have a great time, Funchal is a lovely place with lots of bars and the people are great. The ground is about a 20–25 minute walk from the city centre. Enjoy.

Debuchy deal will not be revived. Young Dutch full back being looked at instead, not sure on name though {Ed003's Note - van dijk?}

I stillhope we can get him in our squad but I hope we can hold on to Simpson too. Im sure (correct me if im wrong) but he was the only player last year to start every game
