Cisse staying FACT he has said to sky that he wants to stay.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Of course djibril cisse is staying qpr stayed up,don't know about pappis cisse though.

Agree0 Disagree2

Cisse has a 5 year contract at toon and if you person smb,s vakue sess at 16 million and gyan the same then cisse will be well worth 35 million...he,s done more in just over 4 months and they did in nearly 2 seasons

Agree2 Disagree0

Djibrill Cisse 35 million, qpr only paid 3 or 4 for him.

forget about sunderland and lets think about next season. i think we are resigned to losing some squad players and there's always a chance one of the big players will also go should an offer be too large to refuse.
regarding squad players - James Perch, keep him or get rid?
i say keep him, he's shown true effort and graft to give himself a chance in this team, whilst he will never be a world beater, he provides backup in various areas of the team.
A lot of others would be happy to pick up a pay packet and sit on the bench (perch was very often not good enough for the matchday squad at times) but not perch, he wanted to stay and he wanted to work for it.

any others you would keep or see us get rid of? please give opinions as to why instead of just answering with names.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I would keep Perch he is a product of everything good Pardew has done. He is coming on and showing real promise.

Players leaving the obvious one's Guthrie, Simpson, Smith, Lovenkrands and probably a big name player or 2. I think Ba will leave and another big player. If we do sell knowing Ashley it will be for big money, if invested back into the team then we might not feel the loss. What is sad though is we finish 5th and we are worried about losing players. Should be losing the fringe players and making the first team and squad stronger. Long summer ahead.

so lads, where did Sunderland finish? I didn't see them in the top 10 table in the papers this morning...

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Judge O'neill next season pal,he got safc out of the s**t after bruce was taking them down.
O'neills record since taking over brucies flops in awesome.
Getting knocked out the cup off everton ended the season.Brucies players have shown o'neill they are not good enough as they have had their buckets and spades out for the last 8 weeks.

The season fizzled out like it does sometimes as safc were safe long ago.

Martin will get rid of these players who care more about their holidays and replace them with hardworking energetic players.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sunderland had a good season considering the useless geordie was going to get them relegated.Congratulations Martin O'Neill for rescuing SAFC from certain relegation to the championship. We have faith you will build a O'Neill squad this summer and get rid of brucies crap buys.

Agree1 Disagree0

Would cost a fortune to get of bruce,s flops thats the whole team gone ecxept bridge and that defender you have...wes clown a nd sh*** o,shea have 4 years left on 60k a week that will cost u 12 million to get of them numptys....smb

Agree0 Disagree0

What's wrong with oshea? He's a rock happy with him,I was happy with brown when he was fit.

Its the gardners, elmohamady, dong wons etc we need rid of.

Agree0 Disagree0

What have newcastle done this season?did they win anything?NO they won more games and gained 20 more points it means s**t now.

Enjoy the plastic europe where teams like boro and fulham have graced the final lol. {Ed013's Note - Newcastle have done very well this season and surprised everyone. The league doesn't lie, and I am sure they would prefer an outing in the Europa cup than not at all}

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said edd the problem with the unwashed if they where un europe there would not be many followers due not to having passports.....:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Roll on newcastles extra games an ineviable relegation. Because of the plastic europe.
Even spurs Benoit Assou-Ekotto said .Assou-Ekotto, it appears, would not be content at a club who are not playing in Europe's premier competition next term. 'All players want to play this competition,' he said. 'A few months ago, I said I never wanted to participate in the Europa League, because this competition is useless.

Even average players devalue it.Europa league is a waste of time and money its on a par with the league cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did sunderland beat Pelaw in the Durham junior cup final and do they qualify for the senior cup next year and play the likes of Gateshead MON should get them far in that

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but if Sunderland got into it next season you would soon change your mind.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but the exta revenue the comp creates the extra money we have to spend on better players.

Joey Barton is a disgrace to football. i'm glad he left. there's no space for a goon like him at a club as amazing as the toon. shouldn't be allowed to kick a football ever again.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

No, he's a legend and I want him back here! Alan Pardew

Hopefully Williamsoff has played his last game for Newcastle.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Decent as a squad/backup player but we need another quality centre/half. or Taylor to come back better than ever.
