Does any people on this site actully play football give credit where credit is due d.simpson was one of our best players last year had the most goal line clearences in the league a good player saved and won us alot of points. debuchy probley a better player but need a centre bk and midfielder

Agree4 Disagree3

He did do well , but still a weak link if we are to move on . As for line clearances as a full back on set plays , his job would of been to guard post and line on that side of goal , I remember santon cleared one of the line from left side of goal . That don't wash with me sorry . The modern full back has to offer something going forward and that where ds falls short .

Agree8 Disagree1

Simpson may have saved a lot on goal line clearances but the amount of times his poor defending lead to goals is far more, and he offers absolutely nowt going forward.

Agree3 Disagree1

Got to thank Danny for his service to the club but if we are to move forward we need a better right back. He backs off to much for me and gets caught out of position to often. Debuchy with a young good prospect is the way forward.

I personally am still kean for them to sign fraser fyvie of aberdeen wigan, fulham and everton all after his signature....he's scotlands under 21 captain and a fantastic midfield prospect....i know he doesnt fit into our squad now but at or around 1 million pounds looks to be a good buy for the future. Fits our transfer policy.

i think that we need two left- back a first-team and a back up and that because the goal against at chemnitzer and the player that i want are E.pieter and danny rose of spurs and S.bassong and Douglas as a back up cb.

Rose isn't particularly good, but i deffo think we should try get pieters.

Agree0 Disagree1

Danny Rose and Sebastien Bassong are hopeless.
Erik Pieters would be good if the Debuchy deal doesnt happen(but its looking liking it will), and id be pleased with Douglas, think he'd be a good partner for colo.

Agree1 Disagree0

Pieters is so average, he's just like Simpson. Would be an awful signing. Bassong? Really? The guy who jumped ship when we went down and has barely had a look in at Spurs? No thanks.

Agree3 Disagree0

We had a few iffy results pre-season last year too, Nothing to worry about.

Agree2 Disagree0

So tell me who would u buy because we need two left-back n central back and they are first-team n a back up?

Dont think we should go for Andy Carroll as we already have 3 big strikers so should go for a smaller quicker striker like De Jong, Gameiro or Bojan. Just to offer something different

Believable5 Unbelievable3

I think Bojan isnt really suited to the pl but id agree we should go for someone who plays off a big man and i do like gameiro

Agree2 Disagree0

We have no one like most clubs with the Ariel power of AC

Agree1 Disagree0

I think someone like Miralem Sulejmani of Ajax would be a good signing, he could cover the whole front line, pacey, good age.
Could be a bit expensive though.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think kevin Gameiro would be perfect for us young, outta of a place a PSG would come rather cheap on fee and wages.....I watched him play alot this year on the telly and look very lively and a good finisher would be a perfect option when ba or cisse are outta the lineup

Agree3 Disagree0

De Jong is by no means quick, he's a big aerial player and finisher. I do agree on Gameiro though, could be a great wee steal as he's not getting a shot at PSG. Bojan isn't great, and Barca made his contract very difficult for Roma to handle, in terms of selling.
