I think what we're missing at the moment is flair. ok benny is one, sissokos a powerhouse, but who else? Don't say gouffran because he's not. Even sunderland had more spark, sessegnon and Johnson. I'd buy taarabt, if we could afford him. Although he's greedy he's one who could lift the crowd. I don't want someone like siem de jong who are slow. Maybe even n'zogbia, you know?
Anyway, I thinly HBA would be better off behind cisse, I can see that working quite well. So maybe for Wba:
Elliot
Debuchy Taylor Mbiwa Raylor/santon
Sissoko Cabaye Tiote Gouffran
Ben Arfa
Cisse
Hopefully the players can regain their fitness for west brom, its a hard game but its a must win plus we need to improve our away form.

When you post that you want to buy Taarabt, your opinion becomes invalid. Useless.

''taarabt''
Good lord NO!
Have you seen him play recently?
He is a useless, lazy lump.
Overweight, has no heart.
Tries to do everything on his own, won't pass, showboats and always gives the ball away, cannot shoot. Complete waster.
Taarabt is a sulker and has a terrible personality, he is everything we do not want.

Safc fan in peace, we played well today, could of been different if migs didn't save from cisse when it was 0-1, your goal wasnt offside and we could of had a pen, end of the day we both should b safe hopefully, just glad of the 3pts.
Agree8

As a neutral, there wasnt much in the sides, Newcastle didn't have the rub of the green, and they had the impetus of a new manager, not much wrong at Newcastle when allthe players are fit again.

Are you trying to take on Millwall for the title of biggest thugs in football?
What is this disgraceful behaviour about? there is no need for it, attacking police officers just because you're a bunch of sore losers. get a grip!
Can't wait til we beat you on the last day of the season, what a shame that your probably going to stay up.

Why are you addressing that to the majaroty of fans when it's the minority that bring shame. That post just serves to make you look mean spirited. My nephew is an Arsenal fan so I at least know some have class enough to not make sweeping assumptions on a whole fan base.
Agree3

To the Wembley Gooner, as the reply to your post indicates that the minority spoil it for the majority.
The report suggests 29 arrests from a crowd of 52,000.
Absolutley ridiculous persons whom probably never even attended the game.
As for us being sore loser, who you kidding, the amount of crap we have put up with over the years and still fill our ground shows we are a very loyal and dedicated to our club.
So stop being arrogant and presume your going to beat us, because if I remember right it was quite recent you lot of persons were booing Wenger and the team, and you were still in the top 5.
so go and crawl back under your opinionated rock and take your silly comments with you.

Pardew was tactically outsmarted and owned today. no plan b, or if there is one its bring on shola and hoof it.
reasons why pardew should be sacked in the summer:
1) no motivation.
2) blames europa league all the time.
3) no excuses for losing to a weaker side at home.
4) plays jonas at left back wtf?
5) Cannot get the best out of average players.
6) cannot cope against underdog teams (e. g stevenage, brighton, sunderland)
7) As I said, no plan B.
What we need is a manager who knows how to motivate a team, give them confidence. Play stylish attacking football, knows how to setup a team.
Choices: Hopefully Moyes, blanc who is someone who would work well with all of our players. I dunno, give me others.
But the thing is, I can't see pardew being sacked, as it would be very expensive and half of our transfer budget would be gone.
I dunno, maybe this was just an off day, I really don't know, but what I do know is, is that as our best players are coming back, and hopefully we'll play 433, there's no reason why shouldn't win at least 3 of our remaining 5 or 6 games or whatever it is.
but right now we need to stick behind the lads, forget this game and move on.

150000 fans paid to watch 3 games over 1 week. Words of AP along with the team is tired NO OTHER club in Europe brought this is up
We have an owner intent on making money and it will becone apparent in the summer 45m+ from sales 25M to buy players if we are lucky (that does not include 60m from TV and the following seasons gates and tv)
Our performance today did not surprise me we have struggled for goals all season. Cisse pops up and then misses a hatful. We can still go down WELL DONE Ashley inept owner and AP playing Jonas at LB was suicide. Hopeless loss against a run of the mill side just like Reading

Hey Jeez,
Fair play Sunderland won the derby, Newcastel were obviously poor and barely showed up. However, You're mediocre because you're down the bottom end of the league. This makes Newcastle slightly less mediocre than Sunderland because they're slightly higher in the league.
Your last comment is a pretty bold statement considering your new manager is 2 games into his tenure and has only previously managed Swindon Town. Think about it, yes you beat Newcastle because it's a hugely significant, passionate fixture. That suits Di Canio to the ground I'd say. Let's jsut wait and see what happens.

Jonas made mistakes, so did every player. ultimately why does a manager play a player out of position where he is gunna be less comfortable and more prone to making errors when he has a perfectly good left back sitting on the bench! Another Pardew masterstroke. on par with leaving a weak and vunerable midfield which got walked all over

gutted at loss but best team won.
hope the board now react and sack pardew. our tactics are rubbish, starting slowly trying to feel our way into games going behind and then panic. look at thursdays game only gave us 30 mins to attack after a poor first 60mins. we were playing benfica who were knocked out the champs league by celtic. not barca.
playing like the away side at home is not what I wanna watch , espeicially when you consider our appalling away record, 8pts all season. the only time he's tried to be more attacking is man u away and arsenal away , which could only be described as foolish, yet we go to norwich and showed no ambition going forward.
sunderland took a risk sacking oneill but its got a reaction, we are stale and pardew has been found out. we play with one striker every home game, why.
surely if oneill deserved the sack pardew must as he has more quality to choose from than oneill/ di canio. del

He scored again!
It is not Cisse's fault the goal was wrongly disallowed.
As I said before, Suarez strays offside way more than Cisse does, the stats prove that. and Suarez is going to be player of the season.
Cisse's goal record is excellent since he has been pushed upfront again, find another scape goat.

You can have no excuses sunderland fully deserved the win.
Di canio is going to do something special, its different this time ie we said the same under Keane and O'Neill. Dicanio is not only passionate and confident he is similar to mourinho he backs up what he says.
I believe he could not only keep us up, he will keep us up, but with summer investment and we will be the fittest team in the league next season we will compete for silverwear.
No I'm not deluded, I'm not getting carried away, I'm not running before I can walk. He is special. A wildcard that will work.
We had big players missing, newcastle were full strength. we went to war, we wanted it more.
You can talk about cisse not offside, sunderland also should of had two penalties and unlucky with some decisions.
Lastly, I wish krul a speedy recovery was a nasty one.

Well, let's hear Newcastle fans' excuses for this one?
Second best to everything! Dominated all over the pitch! Everytime sunderland broke they had as many, if not more attackers than we had defending! Humiliated!
STaylor - rubbish!
Cabaye - rubbish!
Shola - rubbish!
Marveaux - rubbish!
Gouffran - Worst of all!!
Only debuchy was semi-decent today!
Looking forward to the person who was lauding Pardews tactical brilliance after Thursdays exit from Europa! No doubt he'll say, well if we won. the tactics would have been spot on. but because we didn't people will criticise!
Why oh why bring Shola on at half time. no work rate, no control or touch. no pace. NOTHING!!
Humiliating. didn't even make it hard for Sunderland!
Need to change at least half that team for next season or it'll be another massive struggle. that's if we stay up! We are really on teams below not picking up points. our luck of 90+ min winners is over!

Reasons why we have lost this derby:
1) Its always harder when you're at home, because the away side are underdogs i. e sunderland.
2) Pardew got tactically outsmarted by a facist git.
3) What was this tactic of hoofball? ino why we're playing it, its because the players are lacking fitness, and are lost confidence, do you know why? well if you watch the match live on tv sports, you'd understand, as you had ed chamberlain or whoever he is, gary neville and jamie redknapp rimlikcing di canio. that's what ruined it for us. it was all about how animated di canio is and how he's so "passionate". Secondly, we also had niall quinn as co-comentator, so I probably don't need to tell you what he was saying.
4) Cisse wasn't offside, referee was against us today, as howard webb always is.
5) We played too deep, cabaye really needs to be pushed up, sissoko was brill today, and tiote had a fairly good game, just that he was left on his own in midfield.
6) Gutierrez, I will kill myself if I still see him in september. Why doesn't pardew just have faith in the poor lad haidara?
I mean take it when spurs beat arsenal 2-1 this season, er ehm, I mean bale beat arsenal 2-1. Everyone was rimlicknig bale, so arsenal were up against it even though they played way better than spurs.
We also dominated most of the game, its just that the annoyingly get 10 men behind the ball and attack with max 3 players. I could tell the players were tired, but now next season, I will guarantee you it will be a different story, whether pardew is still manager or not, it will be a different story. But sunderland will never have that match fitness or injuries problem, because they'll never be in europe.
Our players panicked today so they just played it more direct, and it just doesn't work.
Solution: Forget about the game, its a one off, and sunderland didn't deserve it. We don't have to concentrate on what sunderland are going to do, just ourselves in the last 5 games, because now we're not going to come up against a side anymore that their managers being rimlikced so then no one cares about us. I really think we need to go back to basics and play 4-3-3 method, it worked a treat, and a midfield of tiote and sissoko, with cabs just in front is beast!
We haven't had time to gel, so over the next few games and summer we can start to play a bit more fluidly (as long as we don't play hoof ball).
All sunderland did today was play us on the counter, wait for the chance to come (jonas), and only have 3 men attacking. Referee was against us today, and again with everyone rimlikcing di canio, that's what ruined it for us.
