What do people think of Connor Newton deciding to leave the club to get more first team play?

I have to admit I don't know too much about him.
Would he be a player that could break through at SJP or is he Championship standard at best?

No one can break through at Newcastle those young players leaving will do another Forster as no one has a clue whois good or not so good Disgrace really
They are all just numbers just like SD shelves

Cheers art - I'm getting that feeling that we're going to see another dismay transfer market and relegation time again - can't see how we are going to attract quality with no European football, a coaching staff that can't coach and an owner who has devalued his club by not investing where needed, ie the squad.

No good youngsters will ever come through at newcastle as are never given the chance of first team action.

Armstrong should have had a lot more game time with the rest of our forwards being so poor this season.

Armstrong should have been in ahead of de Jong. De Jong isn't good enough so giving Armstrong game time and experience should have been a priority.

As we weren't playing for anything and the only pressure was from the fans as we had been so poor, play Armstrong. He could have been the inspiration that we needed and burst on to the scene like Rooney did.

Bad management again.

Sending them to St Mirren wasnt going to do them any good, did anybody from the coaching staff go to watch them

Costs money. & you know what that means Ashley still wearing the same shirt for over 5 years So answer is NO

Alan Pardew just doesn't talk sense. He tells the world that Fraser Forster is doing OK at Celtic but isn't playing in a great league so won't make the cut in the PL, then he sends a promising striker in Adam Campbell to St Mirren to sit on the bench.

Unfortunately, I think Pards has spent a little too much time with JFK and he's obviously rubbed off on to Pards.
