You have just got to laugh at the people who think were going to sign Gomez for less than £25 million please tell me how scoring goals makes your price drop.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I know lol, he cost bayern like £30 million and scored something like 39(?) goals last season. I think they'd want at least their money back. Plus he'll be on massive wages and if he were to leave he would want to go to a clubin the champo league. I like optimism but we have to be realistic.

I am disgusted in the way Jose Enrique has gone about his buisness if he wants to leave he should just come out and say instead of giving the club and fans the silent treatment bet you it's down to his agent its always them money grabbing c**ts.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Yep totally agree, i said 5 weeks ago the things he said about being happy in england and if it was with us then he would still be happy, just didn't sound right, and remember all those fans saying he's done alot for us we've done ok by him paid good wages and when he first came to us he was awfull, just another case of money talks.

Agree1 Disagree1

Have to agree with these two posts. I really like enrique and want him to stay but if he wants to leave why can't he just come out and be honest with us and show us the same respect we show him. Wasnt that long ago he was saying he wanted to spend his whole career here :(

Agree1 Disagree1

Yeah not much loyalty in the game now.

Expect demba ba and neil taylor to sign for the toon in the next fortnight. We will also make an approach for charles n'zogbia this week and if that fails we will go for junior hoilett. Apparently set to make a 6 million pound bid for a mystery European striker thought to be mario gomez. If enrique leaves it is believed we will approach toulouse over their fullback cheik m'bengue once again.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

6 mil for gomez, i think with that we could probably get his left boot . . munich bought him for near 25 mil

Agree1 Disagree0

We wouldn't get gomez for 6 mill mate , bayern would laugh at us , ive heard we could be using enrique and 10 million ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Gomez is worth like 20 mil lol

Looks like Jose is going to Liverpool after he stalled and then snubbed a new contract with us. Reports on twitter that Tottenham have came in for Joey Barton and are willing to let us talk to Aaron Lennon as he may be included in the deal (sounds a great deal in my opinion). Also Newcastle have been scouting Celtic midfielder Scott Brown for a few weeks and are now considering bidding for him. I don't think we need a new centre midfielder we already have Tiote, Nolan, Smith, Gosling, Cabaye, Guthrie, Vuckic and Taylor who can play there.

i thought alan pardrew was going to strengthen the squad not weaken it
lol
outs
kevin nolan
joey barton
jose enrique
cheik tiote
nile ranger

Believable1 Unbelievable9

1. Nolan - wants a 5 year contract. .chances are he'd sit on the bench for 3 of those years, so as much as i like the guy, he's just being greedy, also we've brought in Cabaye, who has the pace Nolan hasn't
2. Barton - again another greedy player, he was offered a contract, he just wants a longer one like Nolan, he's not exactly a spring chicken
3. Enrique - as much as he's a decent, and i mean decent. .not fantastic player, if he doesn't wanna play for us, then i'd happily say goodbye to him, and bring in a player just as good who wants to play for the team
4. Cheick Tiote - where are the reports he is going? Cos i aint seen any and i scan every website for anything to do with newcastle transfers
5. Nile Ranger - LMFAO! ! you think getting rid of him is weakening the squad? He has poor discipline, he hasn't hit the back of the net once, he may have pace, but he's nowhere near good enough

Even if nolan, barton, enrique and ranger go. .we're bringing in (hopefully):

1. Cabaye
2. Abeid
3. N'Zogbia
4. Ba
5. N Taylor
6. Another international striker
7. Possibly Long

Thus leading to a squad with a long more pace, and skill. . therefore don't be throwing out statements that are complete BS.

Looks like Spurs have come in for Barton. Newcastle have asked about the availability of Lennon.

i doubt that barton is an integral part of the team and lennon would offer no more than routledge (pace and no final pass)

Another cwarr07 story!

Agree0 Disagree0

He called the Charlie Adam to LFC this morning.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cwarr07 is a complete chump, who probably lives at home with his mum, and has nothing better to do with his day than sit in his room exercising his right hand and thinking up transfer rumours to start.
Why anyone pays any attention is beyond me. He called Charlie Adam this morning? That has been well known since January, and had been reported early this morning in the press.

In my opinion, if Berbatov moves this window, it will be to Newcastle. I can't see him wanting a move to say, Everton etc. I do think he'll stay at Manchester United however, if he was to go, it'd be to his beloved Newcastle to take the no.9

N'Zogbia and Taylor signings within the next couple of weeks.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

It would be great if he did, but how much is his salary? £120K per week, or something like that? He'd have to take a heck of a pay cut to fit in with our wage structure.

I reckon we'll be looking abroad for strikers.

Agree3 Disagree2

Berbatov supports toon may stupid but he does

Alan Pardew expects to sign someone within 10 days (Skysports) by bet would be Demba Ba. David Whelan of Wigan has confirmed that N'zogbia wants to leave and a few clubs have enquired about him. N'zogbia is on holiday at the moment and doesn't return untill a fortnights time. So expect business to be ongoing then. Newcastle are favourites to sign him. Talk of Jermaine Defoe signing is nonsense and Dimitar Berbatov is a possibility if we can persuade him to come. Finally Gervinho is not all over yet but is still favourites to join Arsenal.

Saw on Sky sports earlier that AP has stated that he hopes to make one signing by the end of June. So who is it? Taylor - Demba Ba - N'Zogbia or a complete surprise. This so called big signing is looking as distant as us signing Gervinho (which it seems no one has offerd yet.

on way home on a1 near durham scott parker has just gone past in a range rover, where has he been sunderland or newcastle

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Hopefully Sunderland. Didn't rate him that much when we had him, and think he is over hyped now. He stood out in the West Ham team because he was the only one bothering to break a sweat. Playing for a decent side, he would disappear.

hey ed, you heard the talk that the judas(carroll)hasnt settled on mersyside, and liverpool have major doubts about him.

{Ed010's Note -My friend, if some of the rumours on here are to be believed, then Andy Carroll will never kick a ball ever again. There have been posts suggesting that he is "crocked" and won't play for a season and posts indicating that he wants to return to Newcastle. None of the posts have any substance and all of them, in my opinion, will prove to be untrue. I don't thinh there is anything in what you have heard either, in fact, I am certain of that. Cheers Ed10

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I don't come out with rubbish like 'i know this or that' , As you can see from my posts. I am though, good friends with people who know Carroll personally. He never wanted to leave, no matter what people say or think. He was desperate to stay. When Ashley rejected 30m, he thought that was the end, but Ashley told him to head to a farmhouse off the A69 (helicopter on standby) incase Liverpool bid higher. He is not in any shape at the mo to play pro football. The lad feels lost and cheated and it killed him leaving and then being booed at L'pool. Drinking and partying due to being 'depressed' at not being at home with close mates is taking its toll. Liverpool are offering all the support they can but he does not want to be there, never did. The lad is NUFC through n through. BUT. .great business for us. But the flack Carroll takes is ott when you look at the facts. £35m could NEVER EVER be turned down for a player who had spent only half a season in the prem. Unreal money. Ofcourse Carroll did not have any say in the matter.£35 Million! Psycho

Agree2 Disagree2

Course he had a say all he had to do is refuse to get in the chopper if he refused do you really think he is going to get put in the reserves as punishment NO.

Agree0 Disagree1

BullS**t! Andy Carroll is like ALL footballers, Greedy! He wanted to go as soon as he was told what his wages would be at Anfield. 35m for potential is good business IF Pardew is allowed to spend it on top replacements. Carroll will be offered for sale within 2 years for less than 6m after his big ego and drinking become too much for the Kop who are already calling him a massive massive mistake and flop. FACT

Agree0 Disagree1

What a load of tosh! he sold NUFC out for the cash! 80k a week offered and he just signed a 5yr deal with nufc for 25/30k a week his greed took ova and told nufc to up his contract or he put a transfer in! which was done! that's the most believable ok 35m was unbelievable money. but carroll could have not agreed terms he just had to say no! but didn't lapped it all up i remember on SSN him full of smiles and laughs "Judas Wa*k*er" hope he suffers in Scouseville! (WelshToon)

Agree1 Disagree1

How could Carroll possibly have been "forced" out when he had a 5 year contract?
Also if Carroll loves newcastle so much why did he hand in a transfer request? and don't give me a BS response of that he was "forced" because if he loved the toon so much he wouldn't have just accepted being "forced" out and handed in a transfer request and in doing so ruining his reputation with the fans.

Agree1 Disagree1

I posted this weeks ago. . andy and steve clarke just don't get on a lot of agro beteen them. . . OLD PRO

Agree1 Disagree0

BS response? Who do some people on here think they are on here? I honestly don't care your opinion on a matter you know little about. Andy Carroll was on the phone to his mate who i also to know (and is well known in the City) and was telling hime he did not want to go. Take it or leave it people. We all support the club, do we not. 1 player's transfer, for such big money, why all the fuss. We got the better deal. We got £35m. If Carroll stayed, would people not be questioning why we didn't sell him? He is nowhere near worth that so just forget about it. But he did not want to go, Fact. Why is he having such a bad time if he did? Last point. Of course players want to go where the money is. Most people in life want to earn as much as they can. A playing career can be over in quick time. Up the Toon and onwards and upwards. Cheers also to Old Pro. Psycho

Agree0 Disagree0

By the reports in the media carrol has made new friends his on holiday in barbados with some of the liverpool lads and wayne rooney makes a big difference than going to benidorm when he was at newcastle money always talks

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah most people do want more money but most people are on £400 pw not £30k+ pw.

Agree0 Disagree0

Psycho i wasnt aiming that "BS response" thing at you personally, its just theres always people saying that carroll was "forced" out yet no one ever seems to explain how(YOU AVOIDED MY QUESTION LIKE EVERYONE ELSE). I think it seems like ashley was probably quite happy to accept the offer(£35 million is a great deal tbf) however carroll clearly wanted to go to liverpool aswell. We wouldn't up his wages coz he just signed a new 5 year deal in october(?) so he wanted to speak to liverpool coz they were offering 80k a week.
The money was more important to him then playing for his "beloved" newcastle and becoming a legend here.
Anyway as u said its time to move on, we want players who want to play for us and we've got £35 million(hopefully) to spend.

Agree1 Disagree0

Not falling out with anyone on here, love the crack and enjoy it. But, in all honesty, I can say for certain that Carroll did not want to go. Thats all i am saying. I am looking forward to seeing some new signings this window and hopefully a bit of creativity, pace and flair. But a proven goalscorer is the priority. Heres to a good window. Fixture list comes out on Friday, Who would you like us to get 1st game? Psycho

Agree2 Disagree0

Ok well i guess we'll have to take your word for it coz you seen a decent lad but i have my doubts that he wanted to stay.
Have heard strong rumours that the striker we are looking at is Mevlut Erding from PSG.
Wigan at home on the opening day is wat i want. Should get 3 points from that this time round.

Agree0 Disagree0

We will probably get Liverpool or Totenham first game bet you Man U get one of the promoted teams.

when we sold andy carrol in janurary I immediatly said huntellar would be an ideal replacement. I remember in the uefa cup days when newcastle played herenveen wen huntellar was just a kid, he ripped newcatsle defnece apart and caused allot of problems. he would be a great signing

I remember that aswell mate , so did mateja kezman who went to play on for chelsea

I said over a week ago that we should look elsewhere namely Gomis at Lyon as I had a feeling the Gervinho and Gamiera would come to nothing. Lyon may be going through a rebuilding of the squad after coming up short for the French title. Keegan was interested in him before he departed and the interest wasn't followed up.
Maybe now is the time to have another look

can we all just remind ourselves, we will be signing ireland from villa? everyone seems to forgot about him, he will be dead cheap inall

Believable0 Unbelievable2

When have we ever agreed to sign Ireland? I would guess that as there will be a new manager at Villa, the new manager will want to have a look at all players before making a decision. Ireland seemed to not be rated by Houllier, however if HUghes got the job then he would probaby keep him as he played for him at City.
