Agree0 Disagree0

Not at Newcastle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with 3rd post, still at Newcastle but won't be if a silly offer comes in.

Agree0 Disagree0

I said the other week we don't know what's going on at wor club regarding transfers. we can all try and second guess who's coming to the club. there's still seven weeks left of the transfer window. so let's just wait and see who comes and goes. geordie tom

Pardew saying we are all right in defence it up front where we need someone. looks like our only signing will be Remy of Bent

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Almost worse defence in league
And toothless in attack

Said it before
We won't sign anyone
We have lost squad players
Ashley loves a gamble.

With our club

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd post FFS stop being negative, why don't you just give them a chance. We finished 5th for christ sake

Agree0 Disagree0

Er don't think so more like 5th bottom

Agree0 Disagree0

You been asleep, or maybe out of the country for a season. Hilarious.

Just read on tv that Marseille forwards Andre Ayew fancies a move to England. Although he hasn't said he will move now, he definitely sounds like the kind of player we would usually have an interest in?

23 years old, forward, potentially a sell on value.

I don't really know a lot about the lad, does anyone know if he'd be a good signing, bad singing, or is he destined for bigger things?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Look like Ayew plays similar to Remy but on the left. Which is what newcastle need. Has scored a few with his head so doesn't just stay out wide and wait for the ball to come to him, he gets himself in the box looking to score goals. Could be a good signing depending on the price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes not highly rated but at 23 there's always time for growth adaptian could be decent

Agree0 Disagree0

Closest we would get us his brother, Jordan

Ayew is a very good player, with Arsenal, Liverpool and other CL clubs interested, not to mention he already plays for a CL club

Think we need to count ourselves out on this one

There are a lot of SMBs coming on here and they are becoming incredibly cocky. The players they are signing are average, if they were decent they would of been snapped up by Everton, swansea, Newcastle etc. Especially the free transfers. It will take a long time to gel, they have an inexperienced manager who had beginners luck last season. They have been through this circus before with Bruce, o'neill. I remember they were really cocky at the beginning of last season and saying they're buzzing with Johnson, fletcher, rose and saying they could challenge for Europa league, and they're doing the same now, only with a championship level manager and below average players, and don't forget they've already lost their two best players in mignolet and rose. I reckon they could very well do a QPR 11/12

Stop being cocky mackems. We will see what happens this season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hmmm being cocky, where have I heard that before? Oh yes you lot when you were bragging about challenging for the champions league before the start of last season and a few of you saying you should be challenging for the title every season. Safc93

Agree0 Disagree0

Why wouldn't they be getting cocky? after all they're signing "Mavrias the Greek Ronaldo". Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

You are getting marios the greek kebab seller at st jokes lark SGB RAW74

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle snap players up, how?, oh yes I forgot, because they are a huge club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's see.

Newcastle have came 5th and then got to the Quarter finals of Europe in the last two seasons.

What have Sunderland done? Battled relegation every season, that's what.

You cannot even compare the clubs.

We went down for a season and came back and were still stronger than the Mackems after our blip. We go for things.

Sunderland season on season spend stupidly, and they are doing it again. Medicore players, and a gloomy outlook. Such a depressing club top to bottom.

Agree0 Disagree0

The start of last season, safc93 we had every right to be thinking about champions league, after we finished 5th. we are a huge club ad top 6 is where we belong

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant believe the bile coming off this page! You all say your not bothered about what sunderland are doing, frankly it doesn't sound like it. there's a difference between positivity and cockiness, that being "OUR" club is heading in a positvie direction "ashleys" is being run as a money making machine. Fair enough a lot of our new signing are unproven in the premier league, yours are proven at premier league levels (unfortuately they have proven to be average) at least we have a chance of surviving.
3-0 ftm
P. s. looking forward to oct 26th (bless)
Liono74

Agree0 Disagree0

Yet again any player we sign is average yet when you get one they're world class! What other clubs wre after your "superstars"? Admit it you're bricking it! We have added depth to our squad and now we're adding quality. Good luck because old joe is going to take you down!

Agree0 Disagree0

Unlike your 'world class' signings ours from january where put straight into a club playering games wif no time to gel yours wil probally be the same this season will show if there average player

Agree0 Disagree0

Change the record mackems. It the same every season under Bruce you where getting into Europe. oNeil was taking you to the next level now under an unproven manager your buying quality and on the march again. Do you lot not get bored looking silly every season? Deluded.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are a huge club in your own minds only. Ask Fergie, he was right what he said, your fans are so deluded and conceited it is becoming silly now. you are just the same as every other club outside the top tier. Kidding yourself every season is stupid, especially with the 3 stoogies running your club, but you cannot see it. Do you think for one minute Ashley is going change tack and try and make your club a force again, I think not, but 52000 will keep tipping their money over.

Agree0 Disagree0

When did Fergie call us deluded? Don't let the truth get in the way Mackem. He called us wee. So if we are wee what does that make Sunderland? Invisible?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's stupid how SMBs still uses that fergie statement, because it wasn't true and he admitted it! He was frustrated and angry. He said we deserve to be winning trophies with such a loyal and passionate fanbase. And yeah if Newcastle are just a "wee club" sunderland must not exist!

Anyway sunderland been through this circus before! You're getting blinded by the fact that you've got a new manager who's bringing in lots of players, who you don't seem to realise are just average!

Just starting to get frustrated with our lack of activity, 4 players out (only fringe players which is good) but we don't seem to be bidding for anyone and if we have we are obviously bidding well below market value as usual. Sometimes you just have to pay the price to get quality. We desperately need three players I would like a defender, goal scoring midfielder and striker.

Our Striking options are starting to get limited with PEA and Bony gone. I think we may not get anyone until deadline day when either Qpr or Villa finally let Remy or Bent go cheap.

Goalscoring midfielder I would love Siem DeJong 8m- 10m. We don't score enough goals from Midfield.

Defender 70 goals last season conceded. We are we not in for Toby Alderweireld, apparently Norwich are interested in him for around 7m.

I honestly think we may not buy anyone who will be a first team starter or pushing for on.

Getting concerned that the likes of Norwich, Southampton, Swansea etc are strengthening their squads, I do think we will be better this coming season than last, if we don't we are in real trouble.

Getting quite impressed with the signings Chris Houghton (wish he was still our manager) is making at Norwich, but there again I think if Fergie came out of retirement to manage us Ashley still wouldn't splash the cash to improve us.

Even though I think Colback would be a decent signing surely we should just give players like Newton, Richardson, Vukcic and Inman (if he signs the contract) a chance and start promoting from within and actually using the academy that we've put millions into.
I almost forgot about Bigi who is a very similar if not better than Colback both work hard, cover a lot of ground, good passers and defend well and Bigi showed he's also got a good shot on him there's no real need for Colback.

On the striker front I'd be happy with just Remy signing Bent although he will score goals the fact that Lambert wouldn't even call on him when in a relegation scrap worries me and wasn't Redknapp not keen on him either? And it'll only push Campbell further away from the first team Remy, Cisse, Gouffran and Campbell is a more than good enough strike force imo.

In midfield I think we only need a creative winger preferably left sided although I'm not sure if he'd be available but Assaidi would be a good signing from Liverpool has bags of tricks and pace he just needs to play regularly. In the centre Pardew has to find the right partnership he's stuck with Cabaye and Tiote so it'll be interesting as even though he was poor last season Tiote was statistically our best midfielder, Cabaye again poor but still created and managed to score six but was played way too deep for me, Sissoko hopefully plays a more natural CM position and play as a box to box midfielder as he gives us something completely different, Anita I think will improve a lot from last season and we'll see the best of him and Marveaux the more we see him centrally the better he'll get has good vision and creativity think in a no 10 role behind Remy he'd be brilliant.

Defense I think we just need a youngish CB who has time to improve maybe somebody like Lewis Dunk from Brighton. Even though most people have written Tavernier off I'd still be happy to see him giving a chance and be Debuchy's understudy at RB I believe the club have stunted his growth by pushing him into CB in the reserves because of injuries instead of just bringing a CB in from the academy and leaving Tav to play RB.

Goalkeepers if we sign Zoet and hopefully we do he'll be ahead of Elliot in no time and be really pushing Krul for number one spot and it'll be good for Krul as last season was probably the only season Krul hasn't improved since signing for the club and with Zoet waiting for a mistake to take his club place and even his international spot it'd be the best completion we could get in that position.

One player to look out for from the reserves is Rolando Aarons, only signed for the academy last season and by the end of the season he had got himself into the reserve team and looked like one of the best players in the team think he'll have a big future in the game.

I should've stopped typing as I doubt many if anyone will read this haha sorry for the long post just thought it would be a bit different from reading posts about Kinnear.

SC4 (forgot to sign in)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You can't sign Colback.
No one in the Sunderland team would get a place in your team, remember?
What a load of twonk you people spout.

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd post, yes you're right, but maybe some signings like colback play a part when the squad is rotated. Anyway quit talking about him, he's a mackem and we won't buy him.

Agree0 Disagree0

You people or just a persons opinion? Colback is not good enough to get into our midfield so hopefully we stay well away. You can keep him.

Agree0 Disagree0

You say we talk a load off twonk, you're the ones who think every signing you made are world beaters!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth would we want Colback?

He wouldn't make our bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

What we spout? Haha that's brilliant it was only a couple of weeks ago you lot were signing every Italian U21 player that had a half decent game in the tournament.
Where's the great Danny Rose thought he was desperate to join the mighty Sunderland? Is he still in Sunderland maybe he got lost searching for the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said they are all world beaters?
However, they show great promise.
Do the signings you have made promise the same?
Oh! sorry you aren't making any.
Wasnt there a big signing Friday gone?
Are you going to get the open topped bus out for Bent?

Agree0 Disagree0

Open top bus for the bloke that left Sunderland for a bigger club. Don't know about a open top bus but he is a smart bloke.

Agree0 Disagree0

And a bloke who was slated by you mags! Now he's all you can get!

Agree0 Disagree0

All we can get or all Ashley willing to get. 2 different things my poor deluded Mackem. Hear spurs are paying money for information regarding Danny Rose whereabouts apparently last seen at the AOL signing for Sunderland. He turned up yet?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bent the world beater. Ha ha.
Management team a joke.
Cisse training alone, because he refuses to wear shirt.
Best players wanting away.
s*** defence last season and even weaker now.
Panic buying ahead if you are that lucky.
Only 18 days to kick off of the new season.
One hell of a big sand pit you lot are burrying your heads in.

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot know about your best players wanting to be away. What I don't understand is why migs left when you lot are buying quality players and going to be dark horse this season. That's right your not doing either. Average players and a relegation scrap again.

Hi Ed, I have heard through quite a large grapevine that we are monitoring the Toivonen situation between PSV and Norwich? Any truth in this? {Ed003's Note - No idea mate I have never visited that grapevine so wouldn't know what they say,do grapes talk? }
