Hopefully this will highlight our lack of depth especially in defence and spur on a few more signings.
the result doesn't matter we just need to see how close the bairns are to competing for the first team.
debuchy in, douglas or sahko would be great. still would like a replacement for best, loverman and guthrie and we should be set for another good season.

Cant understand why Ferguson is not getting game time as a LB we always seem to make do and mend in that position (when first choice is injured or banned or rested)

Read somewhere that Ferguson hasn't gone 2 Germany cos he picked up an injury. Presume he would have started at LB over Raylor if he'd been fit.

With Thiago going to Psg what about us going in for Sakho, he didn't play towards end of last season and will probably play less. He's younger than Douglas and better sell on value. He's value might drop a bit know. We like him and Debouchy to sign (15million for the two?) and cover for striker and midfield and then we could be set for another good season.

Priority has to be defence options for now surely. We need a CB and a FB before the season starts. Once we get those in i'll happily see all the rumours coming in for attacking options, as we have enough cover there to be able to wait until the right options come in - and likely we will bring in a 3rd choice striker to replace Best and a winger I would think.

Steven Taylor is injured again so we need 2 CB I would guess if he keeps getting injured all the time. {Ed026's Note - I've heard it is a very minor hamstring injury so hopefully he'll recover quickly.

Would be mad to take him back after making the steal of the century on him. Wouldnt fit into our style of football now, jog onto west ham andy

If he was less than 10 mill on 20-30k wahes and was gappy to sit on the bench, yes.

He would be a good alternative to what we already have and no question better option than Best and Lovenkrands. But he would have to take a massive pay cut and be satisfied being third choice.

However, a definite NO if it was any kind of exchange for Ba. Personally I don't think it will happen just journo's putting two and two together and making five.

Tiote is the Engine and Tatician of the team.
U would be mad to get rid of any, Ba is the only option as apparently he's injury prone.

This is in reference to ACON so you can't just pick ba because him and cisse play on the same team. For me if we get a decent striker I would rarther loose those two as you can't not get a point with a clean sheet which is what tiote offers plus the fact that goals can come from New striker /replacement (ameobi 1-2, ) and attacking midfield ben arfa cabaye ....
