I think we should put a loan bid in for Guthrie as he wa excellent for us and never caused any hassle. I know people won't agree but we will struggle to sign anyone decent so these sort of deals will be the ones we will have to look at. We are after all in a relegation battle and I can't see us getting clear of it until later on in season.

I thought Guthrie was just getting going for us when he was pushed out, he looked the part playing beside Cabaye.
Abeid and Amafiltano do not look like they are ever going to figure for us, keeping Guthrie would have been a smarter option.
It seems like we have way too many fringe midfielders when we need first teamers.

I'm a massive newcastle fan, and this appalling run of form breaks my heart. Can't believe ppl genuinely think we will get top players like remy etc. Honestly we a circus right now with football and tactics we are playing. It would be fair to say we've had our share of disappointing transfer windows, I fear this one will be no different.

We have a good rep in France at the moment due to our French contingent so Remy could and possibly would be interested in joining us plus he would be getting a pay rise coming to us as French league wages are low compared to epl
