sunderland fan! but i think newcastle will do well and be a stable Euro club for at least 5 years as long as you keep investing, just wanting to know your honest opinion on sunderland sess, mclean, larsson and signings and also your ambitionson newcastle and do you think pardew is their for the long term cheers :)

Honestly, MoN's signings have been mostly poor, Cuellar is uninspiring, Anita will be a good signing whoever he goes to.
Someone likened Sess to a deflating balloon and I have to agree with them, obviously he's good but he would be more effective if he were more direct. Mclean, as much as I hate saying this, looks an awesome player. MoN was right when he said this is the season that makes or breaks him, whether teams now know about him and set themselves up to stop him.
I've never liked Larsson, ever since he was at Brum and turned us down (then to rub salt in the wounds he signs for you lot -_- )
I think the standard response to ambition, is win a trophey, and I dont know how many mags agree with me, but I'd rather finish mid table and get to a final (europa, fa or league - any will do) than challenge for Champion's league again.
Also, I reckon Pardew will stay for the longterm. He's doing something good, playing the way he wants, with sound (but not great) financial backing. Of course thats only if Ashley doesn't get an itchy trigger finger....

Another sunderland fan here, sorry to come on but our site is full of whingers, but i reckon youve bought a crackin player in anita, just wish oneill wud get some balls and try the european market as all we are linked with are relegated defenders and overated strikers, anyway best of luck for the season as im not a sour mackem.

The big rumours coming out of the Benton training ground is that Tiote,Cabaye,Ben Arfa,Cisse AND Ba are all VERY Doubtful for the opener with Spurs. Well Mr Ashley, our keeping the money in the back pocket attitude is going to go and bite you big style you greedy F*t B*****D!!!!!!!

This Ramadan thing has drained both Cisse and Ba and they wont be ready for Spurs, Ben Arfa,Cabaye and Tiote are rumoured to have knocks so maybe the original poster is talking a bit sense and everyone else reads the crap in the papers. Just my look on it.

Newcastle update:
Anita fee has been agreed around 6.2 million plus addons, he will fly in today for talks and mdeical hopefully the deal should be tied up by wednesday at the latest
Tiote will not be leaving newcastle this summer, our estimation is around 25 million where as chelsea and united think it should be closer to 15million, they will instead look at javi marinez for around 22 million
Newcastle havent given up hope of signing matt debuchy yet, newcastle are considering making a final offer but are hoping to move simpson on first for around 2or3 million which will cover the extra for debuchy at around 7 million.
Newcastle are close to a deal with psv for striker ola toivenen, newcastle have been short of strikers since the departure of best and lovekrands and are hoping a 6 million fee will be enough for the versatile swede who can also play in midfeild
There is still no news on newcastles search for a cb despite interest in a whole host of players no deal is close to being done, mbiwa , douglas, howedes and mbia have all been linked with a move but no bids have been accepted

thinking about it, anita can play as a left back and pardew has talked about putting santon at right back. Maybe it would be like a 4-1-2-1-2 Krul, santon, s taylor, coloccini, anita, tiote (cdm), ben arfa, gutierrez, cabaye (CAM) Ba cisse for the tottenham game

Are there any benefits to Newcastle if Ashley buys a stake in rangers? {Ed007's Note - The only benefit of any investment it to Ashley, it is nothing to do with football, it is to do with business and all about making money.}
Believable0
Unbelievable2
Ofcourse it is about making money, Why would Ashley put money into Rangers if he was going to lose it??
Ashley did not get rich giving his money away, That does not mean what he invests in does not become a success, Actually on the contrary it goes to show the opposite.
