Who would buy? I think the real danger is tge club going bankrupt if we go down. surely ashley must see his strategy is a big gamvle, it is the same every season now, decent first half of the season, utter shambles in the second. We seem to blame events rather than the truth, lame players lacking fitness and very poor coaching.

Newcastle are not a team anymore the whole club has almost died and that is what happens when you have an owner who knows sweet FA about football and who's first waking thought is how to get more money out of a business he knows FA about.

It is a bit like his other businesses Ashley does not make a move unless directed to by his advisers who are non football people who just count the greenbacks.

The game has gone sour at NUFC poisoned by we all know who.

Tired. Depressed. It's unbelievable how bad we are at the moment, relegation looks a real possibility.

I have one question to ask though for other forum posters.

Would you rather have the next 5 years with Ashley still at the helm, regime/policies haven't changed, with us just scrapping for middle of the bottom half of the BPL every season, or would you rather us get relegated this season, Ashley and his clowns all leave and there is a complete revamp from top to bottom with owners who have ambition and want Newcastle to be successful, with the risk of possibily being stuck in the championship for the next 5 years?

Just want to hear people's answers/opinions, of course I don't want us to go down but I don't know how much longer I can stand with Ashley still here. He's killing the club.

On the plus side the bloke Ashley liked but you didn't and his Palace team are looking safe.

You sure you are not a toon fan in disguise gunner? Perhaps even a Palace fan with the comments you make about pardew ;)

Gooner and football fan of over 40 years J who actually thinks the Newcastle job should be one of the most desired in the game by any manager who loves the game.
Ashley isn't the only thing that puts any manager capable of truly delivering your clubs great potential from joining you is he?
Demonstrate all you like but Newcastle fans need to take a good look at themselves and accept their share of the blame for where the club is today, maybe actually backing a manager rather than demanding another sacking would be a great place to start

jtoon if ashley leaves sells up ect and we get relegated I don't think we would recover from it and we would be stuck in the championship . gunner62 your going on about slagging managers off. it was'nt long ago your lot were having a go at wenger. its our club and you don't get what the club means to our city our region . also your going on about Pardew well he will implode as he allways does look at his record at other clubs he's been at .

Hi Tom I really do get your passion mate 40,000 plus people rain or shine year in year out doesn't lie, its the fact that you have than many fans and the passion for your club you have that makes you a sleeping giant that a manager who truly wanted to achieve something outstanding in their career should want the honour of being the one who finally delivers what the whole of Newcastle and beyond wants.
But if you were a bright young manager with lots of ability would you ( bias aside) choose Newcastle for any reason other than money?
Why?
Why not? Well for one who wants a job where you have to make up for years and years of disappointment over night or be turned on quiker than Messi turns defender's.
Look at Southampton last summer if ever fans had the right to protest it was them but they accepted things had to be done they wished hadn't had to happen backed the club and got rewards this season they never dreamed of but fully deserve, I think Newcastle fans are and have for a very long time been getting the same thing as Southampton fans just in reverse.
Try backing your next manager with some real 100% support and understanding for a year or two because let's face it you've been doing the opposite for years without success so surely its Worth trying something different just as a one off? Let's face it what have you got to loose bit your banners with OUT on.

how many times have arsenal missed out on Champions league in the last 17 years gunner 62. Your posts are a joke how many games have you watched? when you blew your 4-0 half time lead I seem to recall Wenger was not favoured by Arsenal fans.

9 years of punching below our weight Desree 9 yesrs with out a serious title challenge 7 or 8 years of getting sucker punched against the big boys opponents because we had no DM to cover our defence and not a single protest or banner until late 2014 when a couple of people decided to go it alone and produce a single banner that said thanks for the memories Arsene which was condemned by all sides of the Arsene in/out debate as being embarrassing to our club.
Newcastle are not an Arsenal chavs city or utd they you are a Vila or Everton who have the potential to be a very big club.
Would David Moyse have survived any where near as long at Newcastle as he did at Everton? No way you'd have had him out years before he left.
I've no idea why a billionaire owner has never come in for Everton because to me they are by far the most worthy of all tge sleeping giant clubs and to be fair Vila ain't far behind them, but it doesn't take a genius to understand why someone would stay clear of investing in Newcastle as the rewards would be fantastic but the journey and protests would be horrible

Have to say I disagree there gunner62, Everton fans have been moaning about Martinez so much recently and the majority wanted him out, nobody turned a blind eye to it. And to say that Villa and Everton are a more attractive proposition than us supposedly because "the protests would be horrible" at newcastle, is nonsense. We gave Pardew 3 and a half years, which is think is more than fair.

Fair comment J Everton fans are very down on Martinez at the moment, but also to be fair you never really backed Pardew at any stage even when you got 5th he was only ever put with.
My point is at some point in time you have to stop protesting and give someone a real chance to do their best for your club without the added pressure of constantly fighting his own fans after every result that doesn't go your way.

jtoon I think gunner62 is a bit of a agitator not a (aligator) m8. as I said in my earlier post gunner62 does not get the passion we have for our club . after all we have only one club in our city . not like london .where you can pick and choose which team you want to follow . also would we be in this mess if he (Ashley ) had spent some money in the january window?

Passion is brilliant and to be admired but success is earned not your right just because you shout and scream and protest.
Newcastle united would achieve more than a Newcastle at war with its self has ever done.

Vida: don't think it was me that called you a fool. I posted that under Carver all we could expect was an inevitable downward spiral, and so it has proved. At the risk of boring everybody, I'll say it again. Once a team goes out of both cups and has nothing to play for, performances slump. It's not rocket science. It was true under Pardew (he should have blooded the kids) and it's true again under Carver (they should have hired a new coach). Why Ashley and Charnley can't see that is anybody's guess. I hope it's because they have a top man lined up for the summer, but don't count on it.
