arsenal fan in peace
was at the game tonight- your guys worked hard and defended well.
We've had a few last minute winners against ourselves over the years, it hurts I know.
whatever happens you've had a great season and can be proud of your team- you'll bounce back with a win against norwich.
Goodluck for rest of season lads.

Arsenal outplayed us and deserved to win, just wish goal had come earlier not at the death ,that stinks. Also RVP was a disgrace so unsporting at the end ,shame for such a good player.

hey lads, newcastle fan here... well on the face of it we were unlucky not to get the draw... but arsenal were the better team, but just lacked clinicalness and we defended well... but onto the more important point, atleast the pressure is off us with liverpool losing at the weekend still 4 points ahead so we have 6th place atm, and we only have chelsea and man city to play from the top 7 now, unlike sunderland who have man city, man u, tottenham and chelsea still to play, our next game norwich should be easier and hopefully 3 points which are at the moment much needed hopefull we can finish the season near the 60 point mark and that should mean we finish in the top 6/7

Chelsea?

Totally agree my Geordie fellow. The home games are all bankers - Wolves, Sunderland, Swansea - all home bankers ! Now tootle off and eBay yourself a braincell !

Why are you so concerned about Sunderland's fixtures ?

Sunderland played chelsea twice

Okay fair I was wrong about sunderland playing chelsea... didnt think they had, oops lol.
I only listed them to show to people that newcastle have the 'easier' run in i know there are no 'easy' games in the league, but you got to admit I cannot see where you are going to get 7 more points that us before the end of the season, not saying you cant, just saying its doubtful, sunderland will lose atleast 3, doubt you'll beat city again, man u will be gunning for the title... and now tottenham are watching their asses and all teams will come to form.
Agree0
Disagree1
Easier run in. We may have three top 4 sides but we also have 4 of the bottom 5.
Agree2
Disagree0
The bottom 5 are usually just as difficult as the top 5 during the run in period, midtable teams is the best place to pick up points as they are safe and they are only playing for position, not safety and not euro football, I think you will struggle sunderland... sorry, ED what you think would be nice to have your views on this? {Ed001's Note - difficult to judge, O'Neill is good at getting his players to pick up points, even if it is not always pretty to watch. But I do agree, mid-table teams are often easier to face, they have little to play for once they are safe.}
Agree1
Disagree0
Man utd and tottenham are at home so their is no reason sunderland can't get anything from them games, man city away I expect us to get beat even if we play well they too good at the Ethiad! should be an interesting end to the season with so many clubs gaining on you including sunderland!
Agree6
Disagree1
You wont get anything from man u its a sure win for them, o'shea will have a bad game and once he is off form your defence will collapse.. tottenham have more than enough attacking threat from home, and they are gunning for champions league and to finish above their rivals, sunderland have nothing to play for this season other than position, your season will tail off now... could even lose points against lower positioned teams i.e. qpr/wolves if you have to play them
Agree1
Disagree3
Nothing to play for? FA Cup quarter final sat! finishing as high as possible in the league! the same O'shea who was a man utd reject and too old and will play rubbish as you lot said? whats he done he has been playing good, had ba and cisse in his back pocket allgame against you, think your just wishful thinking! only team who will lose points is you lot with your long ball game, Pardew has had his moment and your starting to realise he doesn't have a clue tactically hence why your dropping points

Well the formation for tonight looks like the one we have all been calling for all season. lets hope it works!

It didnt ! nd now u can see why ben arfa duznt get his game every week , apart from the goal he did nowt !
Agree1

I actually thought Ben Arfa had a really good game. His work rate is increasing week on week, he's started tracking back and winning balls too. Yeah he might need to learn to get rid of the ball quicker instead of keeping it too long.
I actually thought the formation was doing ok the first half as Obertan, ben Arfa and Jonas where switching about quite a bit. After Ht though things looked so much more rigid in there with Obertan playing more like a 2nd striker than a free midfield role.
Agree2
Disagree1
Someone tell me the formation? was obertan playing behind ba? I thought Ben arfa was our man of the match, I knew he'd score if he started. paardew needs to start Ben arfa now. he creates and scores every game he starts!
Agree1
Disagree0
|It was supposed to me a 5 man midfield on paper I think but on the pictch it turned into more of a 4, 2, 3, 1 for the first half where we looked stronger to be honest. Then after HT it became a 4, 4, 1, 1
Agree0
Disagree1
All I saw last night was you lot playing long ball football and you have the nerve to say sunderland do it, you did it last week and last night
Agree4
Disagree0
Wtf long ball against sunderland?? maybe in the first half when your defence was unbreakable and disciplined, when we got sucked into a rough game (but perfectly legal game plan within the rules) which was fgood to see to be fair as most refs are to harsh these days on most challenges.. but the 2nd half were tore you a new 1, you had 1 chance which maybe you should have scored but krul pulled off a great save, we could have easily had 4 or 5 goals against you there, but werent clinical enough
Agree0
Disagree1
Had 10 men 2nd half and yeah you couldn't beat us! arsenal you played long ball all game! as I said your a long ball team, the new stoke maybe, dirty, play crap football and long ball game! say bye bye to europe! SGBS
