Tiote will not be leaving in Jan (unless we receive a bid of £20mil!). His recent absence is due to fluid on his knee following his injury, and he had requested to visit his shaman back in the Ivory Coast (could not make this up! the story was reported in The Mirror and the visit has already taken place). Considering the injury situation I definitely
don't think anyone will be making a bid anyway - but for the right price all our players are available!
Incoming:
Considering how we have operated in the transfer market previously, I would expect us to buy ONE central defender (Williamson will play in a reservce game this week, and COllochini's injury is not deemed too serious). When it comes to who, it gets a bit more difficult... I would expect us to go for someone near the end of their contract (Cahill springs to mind - but very unlikely!). In the end, I'm sure we'll go through the motions - but actually getting a decent transfer across the line
is another matter. I would also expect us to get a young, (perhaps) unproven striker on loan to cover for Ba's absence when he goes to the African Nations.
Well... that's my bit, any suggestions the who could join (and how many?!?!)

If you signed Samba and say a striker like Defoe you would get top 6 guaranteed and maybe top 4 and this is coming from a mackem.
