Seriously. 52k per home game, world wide support, semi billlionaire owner and teams like saints and swansea are beating us to signings. saints just bagged waggyMamas for 12.5m and looks like my little bony is signing for swansea. 4 out and 0 ins so far. we were already short by 4. can't see us signing 8. and just another moan why oh why is Fulham more appealing to buy than us? and don't say its a posh part of London bla bla bla.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Never heard anything from the club to say we'd bid for or were interested in them, so other teams cannot beat us to them if the club doesn't want them even if the fans think we should, agree we need back up but first team is strong if we can keep them fit

Agree0 Disagree0

Still the issue of Cabaye and Ben Arfa to consider. Apart from the upset caused by JK, the fact that no one is coming in might make one or two inclined to leave.
Who wants to go to a poor team with no ambition.
Much prefer to come to Sunderland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where u been. toon were interested in both players

Agree0 Disagree0

Toon made brief enquiries about both players but weren't prepared to pay prices quoted for players that would be understudies to Tiote and Cisse. At 5m a piece, they might have been worth a punt.

Bony did well in league where he seemed to be given acres of space and plenty of time. He looks slow and not very technically adept to me - you need more than just strength in the Prem. I don't rate him. which probably means he'll score 30 goals by Xmas. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

You only have to look at Afonso Alves to know that success in the Dutch league doesn't guarantee success in the PL.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Afonso Alves statement, although I think that could be bony.

I'm interested in altidore because he has come on great since he was at hull as a teenager and hull fans rave about him then and he's much better now.

very quiet on this page. is ashley skint or is waiting for joker to come back off his hols?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's nice to see kinnear taking a break from taking a break. Hopefully he's enjoying some kebabs while he's at it.

Sunderland have got Peruzzi and Giaccherini, and my mate has texted me sayin they're now going for Lorenzo Insigne!
FU*K
What is happening with the mighty Newcastle, getting tired of Ashley, he needs to spend some money, I would like us to get Remy and Bent
Yes, They are a bit greedy, but so was Peruzzi with Sunderland
They are both super quick and PROVEN goal scorers, we need to keep up with the teams who finished around us last season, they're spending, why can't we?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Everyday others are signing the cream of the available players, they are improving dramatically even the new boys, just look at southampton. swansea are looking the bussiness too, which teams do you see crashing and burning over the season, maybe palace but the rest of them I think not, sorry for the dark mood but I can't think of a single realistic target that excites me so far

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle are getting left behind. Sunderland are signing some Quality I don't care what you say about unproven etc and they have more to follow. I also think Dicanio is a talented coach and they will do well.

Norwich are signing quality as are Southampton. Teams newcastle are bigger than off the pitch but won't be on it.

Its worrying times.

Agree0 Disagree0

How many times do people have to be told?

Sunderland are not getting Insigne, end of story.

I am not one bit interested in who Sunderland are signing, unless they sign a very good player, one that would even get in to our side.

Unless that happens, what is the fuss about?

Do you think Sunderland are signing up great players? why is it no one else is trying to sign these players? plenty of clubs have money to spend and are looking.

As if Insigne would go to Sunderland LOL. He is a up and comer and would go to a European side.

How many young, up and coming stars of the Italian team have you heard of that sign for regular relegation battlers?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland needed 8 players as they were but also have 6 players leaving

Letting Di Canio spend his money exactly like Bruce and O'Niel will again come back to haunt Short

As for Newcastle they are relegation fodder & Ashley needs stringing up

Agree0 Disagree0

You need to look at they bigger picture though calling sunderland regular relegation battlers.

They are everything newcastle are not.

Ambitious, a owner who genually cares for the club, a young unproven but talented manager and quality coaches and scouts,

They are signing quality and will have another 6-10 to come in. Peruzzi will one day be the best right back in the world I have seen him, giaccherini is a quality player I enjoyed watching him for Italy. Mavrias the Greek Ronaldo lol I know but he is good and he's signing next week as is Huddlestone another good player, they are linked with many good players and I can see them getting a top player a marque signing.

Sunderland will also be a much improved team next season, di canio focuses on fitness and he plays attractive football, they will do well I'm telling you.

Agree0 Disagree0

If it goes wrong for Sunderland/ Di Canio this season it will be on an epic scale. I get the impression no half measures with that guy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm worried
We all thought they didn't have a chance is Peruzzi and Giaccherini but they've got them

Agree0 Disagree0

Im worried too, we never thought bent was our top target but he is

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no way they are getting insigne, they are signing average players that wouldn't make a difference to our squad!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland will do a QPR next season, they are signing way too many average players, di canio will be sacked come december

Agree0 Disagree0

How will we not have a chance, we signed a few rookies but also a few class players, we won't do a qpr, PDC won't be sacked what about all the average players you lot bought (one season wonders) or does it make you feel better because we are strenghtening our team what are you's doing how many players are you's signing Bent to go with your championship player Cisse because that's is his level, even some of your own fans are posting about our signings, things are changing now we are on the up you's are on the way down, we have a chairman who cares about the club and excellent backroom staff now including scouts, your chairman doesn't give a toss about your club, and you can't blame him the way you's slag him off, you lot must be really scared for the season, we can't wait for it to start onwards and upwards a mid table finish will do for me this season where as you will finish bottom five.

Agree0 Disagree0

''Peruzzi will one day be the best right back in the world I have seen him, giaccherini is a quality player''

Hilarious!

If Peruzzi is so good then why is Sunderland the only club interested in signing him, I thought he was going to be the best right back in the world?

Agree0 Disagree0

Please define 'average', is that any player who does'nt sign for nufc? let's wait and see shall we, 'quality'didnt get you far last season. Hilarious!

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you watch the confederations cup? Giaccherini was player of the tournament he was brilliant, juventus manager is gutted and angry that he has been sold as are the fans.

Peruzzi single handedly had Neymar in he's pocket for two games and is raved about in Argentina he will be first choice right back for the world cup.

How do you know no one was interested in these players? Sunderland have a whole new club set up with great Italian scouts and coaches, director of football and they scouted these players so sunderland had a head start in signing them, sunderland is an ambitious club on the up you better start believing. Short, dicanio and our director of football have more chance of attracting quality than pardew and kinnear.

Agree0 Disagree0

The players that we have signed are quality players now i. e. cabaye, ben arfa, tiote, cisse, sissoko, coloccini, m'biwa. Sunderland have been through this phase with o'neil and bruce and will do the same again with di canio who is very inexperienced as a manager and will finish bottom 5 with sunderland whereas newcastle will sign bent, remy kouyate and finish top 10.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jtoon your deluded, take off the rose tinted specs, bent is out of form, remy may be in prison.

Sunderland are signing quality and Dicanio is inexperienced but a quality, coach, tactician, motivator. He has not been on holiday he is making sure everything is ready.

Sunderland will be motivated and super fit next season with great organisation.

Sunderland have changed the whole club structure and mentality, its nothing like Bruce O'Neill era.

Everyone who was at the bottom last season is strengthening apart from Newcastle. Your going down if you don't sign some quality, bent remy are not good enough, one got relegated last season and one nearly did.

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing quality? Says who? It's you that needs to put your glasses on. Very average players who have proved nothing in there past leagues never mind the premier league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do sunderland forget peruzzi and giaccheni have not signed for them

Has anyone else realised the squad numbers have changed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How do you know?

Agree0 Disagree0

Joke inear probably changed them

I think there's a bit too many people panicking here. I think there is a lot more going on behind the scenes, just without the media knowing. Take arsenal for example, they have big money atm, but there not spending it are they? but they will do probably in the next week or so, maybe on higuain or suarez. You never know, we could be in negotiations with Remy, maybe we're just making sure the media don't know, because if we know, everyone knows. I think we will bring in 2-3 decent players, and a few youngsters. My guess is:

Cheikhou Kouyate (CB/RB) 5m
Loic Remy (ST/LW) 6m
Darren Bent (ST) 5m
Jody Lukoki 3m
Jeroen Zoet? 3m

then going out will be williamson, obertan probably, gosling, perch already gone, maybe jonas gutierrez, shola might be on his way and ferguson will go to birmingham on loan. I reckon our stars will stay.

But 1st August will be the time to panic if we have only bought 1 player, if any.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gunners are huge club run well great manager people want to actually go there not like your club. every1 knows u want remmy and bent puppet said so himself. zoet u not even bid for according to your local rag. kebab being sold to psg puppet says bid if u want him. bent going to fullham the defender off to dynamo. your screwed pal. beansafc

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Jul 2013 12:22:11
Another day and no signings no links to any1 and the puppet says it will take big money to buy his "stars" is that his way of saying bid on my players?think u need to sell to buy but then who wants to go

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ashley has 60m in his poke & we act like this
DISASTER waiting to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we all know by now what Ashley's intentions are for this club ie
buy nowt unless you can sell it on and make money.
This guy shouldn't be allowed to own a football club - especially ours.
Why have we all got to be the fall guys for this bloke?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's the same statement from Pardew every window. It should really say we need to sell before we buy because our owner doesn't want to spend any of his own money.

Agree0 Disagree0

''I think we all know by now what Ashley's intentions are for this club ie
buy nowt unless you can sell it on and make money. ''

How many players has Ashley sold for profit in recent times apart from Carroll?

I will tell you how many, ZERO!

Welcome back from cloud cuckoo land.

Agree0 Disagree0

What are people ranting about us selling to buy, we have sold no one of note (except Ba) and bought in almost a full team since Ashley has been here. I don't like the bloke but he doesn't seem to be selling players to line his own pocket

Agree0 Disagree0

The Carroll money bought all the players since he left so yes he does sell to buy.

Aiden McGeady transfer listed, Would surely be a good signing and add creativity that we need. With a year left on his contract wouldn't break the bank either!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Oh so deluded mag! When the cats were pondering a move for this lad all you bafoon army fans giving us pelters saying that he was unproven in the EPL! Changing your mind now nobody wants to come to spewcastle? RAW74 big up to the kebab!

Agree0 Disagree0

Raw74, you seem to like newcastle I think you and jeez are secret supporters of the toonarmy, makes no surprise as we've got a big fanbase. bigger than 5under1ands! anyway its 1 person saying that they'd like mcgeady however I still think we can do better than him with maybe sinclair. Deluded smb

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcgeady is macleans international understudy now so that speaks volumes of the first posters desperation to see us bring in anyone without forethought

Agree0 Disagree0

Why still to this day mention the 5-1 score? Its old hat. How about 0-3 or better still 1-9.

Agree0 Disagree0

But you mention the 9-1, be very surprised if any mackems still alive who even seen that one, still on our site always us first then you think about your own team, only one word obsessed

Agree0 Disagree0

I love Newcastle.

Lazar Markovic yet another good young player that has signed for Benfica. Is there anyone good left for us to go for that won't cost £10mil+?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

There's pessimism and then there's idiocy. Of course there are players we can still go for and who would hugely improve out squad under 10 mil.

Agree0 Disagree0

Me!

i'll sign for free and play for 150 quid a week, 100% effort gaurenteed, {Ed013's Note - So not for free then ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Need some cash, so I can pay for tv and watch me banging them in the net

Sulejmani is another left winger that could have been great for us. If we are scouting the Dutch leagues why were we not in for him before he went to Benfica for next to nothing. Am I the only person that thinks left wing is the position we need the most. At the moment Gouffran is the only player who can play there and he is more of a CF not a creative winger. As long as we have players playing out of their best positions we'll get know where.
