if colin leaves we are in deep s**t we won't buy 2 cb's i will be surprised if we get 1 in we won't get a striker we will reley on cisse and ben arfa to get us to the end of the season we are 11 days into the window and only one deal done a deal that was started in the summer we would have identified players months ago that we need so why f**k have we not already got a striker and cb in players we needed in the summer

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Colin ?

Agree3 Disagree1

Who's colin

Agree1 Disagree1

It will prob be a case of colo out and Tompkins in.

And that will be the cb we were all calling for.

Anyone that claims but we lost a cb and have not gained one will be given the cold shoulder and deaf ear routine from the wonderful Mr Ashley and his Basil Brush sidekick Derek Llambias.

If Coloccini leaves we need 2 new center backs. But i simply not think that James Tomkins is good enough. I hope Pardew signs Douglas which i see as a possible replacement for Coloccini. And then i think we should sign Isimat Mirin also.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Maybe Kouyate?

Agree2 Disagree0

Probably won't get either of them, we tried but couln't get them over the line.

Reading make offer for Kelly of Fulham this morning, by 5.00pm he's all signed up.

Yet we are supposedly interested in players for weeks, in talks for weeks, they make derogitory offer or offer monkeys wages and can't get players over the line.

Something very wrong with our club at present. Very worrying times. Big three games coming up when we should be looking to get 7 points minimum, but can't see it.

I know some people on here will say be patient, but realistically we all knew Ba was going this window ( we needed another striker before tBa going) and have needed a centre half for twelve months, not to mention a couple of experienced extra players to boost squad six months ago. Good we got Debuchy but penny pinching means he's arrived six months to late. Don't want us to always over pay for players but sometimes to get the right man you have to (i.e Man you buying Van Persie, Fergie knew he had a better chance with him than letting City buy him).

we've got to go for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before he's snapped up he's a very good finisher and my god we need that at the moment. get behind the lads

Believable4 Unbelievable1

The manager of st. etienne said he's not for sale, remy's got more experience and quality.

Several newcastle players considering future after sale of Ba. Talk of discontent in the dressing room and manager struggling with players morale. Attitude shown in fa cup when well known that would be a defeat was there for all to see.

Several players will be looking to leave in January or the summer as newcastle struggles to stay in premier league. Behind scenes many unhappy players.

Believable6 Unbelievable4

We had no option with BA so why would other players want to go now. The team will be better once we have injured players available and we bring in new transfers in January. BA wasn't the main man the second half of last season and part of the problem this season is that we have changed the formation to keep him happy. Now he has gone we can start playing people in their correct positions again.

if the rumours are true and collo is going because of family problems i for one wish him all the best he's been a good servant for us just hope he gives us till end of season.

im still behind alan pardew no matter what. he runs the team. positivity not negitivity.mag forever

Believable7 Unbelievable2

I like Pardew, he has a bit of class about him and obviously cares about us winning but todays game is the deal breaker for me.

Norwich are in bad form and we have players back from injury, this is the game that will define our season.

Im finding it difficult to remain upbeat and positive when each day of this window slips by with no activity. Today its reported that Colo is wanting to leave this month, Remy is interesting Arsenal which will put us out of the picture and we are bidding for a left back(end of Santon??). We need to show a bit of urgency and be decisive with our targets cos the nearer it gets to the window closing the more control the selling clubs will have. The time for excuses is gone, show us how you feel for our club MA and get some deals done quickly or next season we will be buying with our parachute payments. HWTA

Believable4 Unbelievable2

We all want things to happen quickly but that;s just not how it works for the best (better) players. Their agents keep deals in suspense right to the last day or two in the hope that an offer comes in from a wealthier club. Agents should be shot. Apart from Chelsea and the two Manchester clubs every one is in this hole, and if you think Kelly from Fulham is one of the 'better' players...

Can I just say to all the people that think Ashley is a great guy for clearing the club debt.

Ashley loaned the club money to clear the debt, the club is now in debt to Ashley.

Yes, Ashley did not ask for interest, but, and here is the big but, As Ashley is the loanee he sets the payback rate from the club to himself.

Basically Ashley can keep pocketing as much profit as he wants while not paying the debt back, leaving a new owner of the club (if it ever happens) in debt to Ashley.

Come on folks, please realise what is going on.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Not true it all has to be shown in club financial returns and they do not show Ashley taking money out of the club. Get your facts right before posting utter rubbish

Agree3 Disagree2

Ashley had no option but to stump up because he did not do his due dilligence before buying the club so did not realise that with Sir John leaving the club so did his guarantee on the bank loan for the ground redevelopment so Ashley HAD TO cough up. It was then his stupidity in employing Wise and not backing Special K then employing JokeInHere and leaving it too late to bring SHearer in that caused us to go down which meant he again HAD TO put his hand in his pocket to protect his investment. As ED stated in a different post I'd be intrigued to see if teh accounts show if Ashley is taking a salary from the club and then we will know if he really is not taking any money out.

Agree1 Disagree0

Some people just don't understand basic arithmetic. Ashley wants what? 250mill? for the club; NUFC PLC owes Ashley 140 mill. The club couldn't pay its way without the loan and was well on the way to going bust. Any buyer would have to fork out both sums - how much do the Ashley-haters think a new owner is going to have left over for transfers?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ashley invested millions in facilities

Agree0 Disagree0

And if ashley hadn't got involved where would newcaastle be in the same state as rangers or deportivo i would have thought

Agree2 Disagree0

''Not true it all has to be shown in club financial returns and they do not show Ashley taking money out of the club. Get your facts right before posting utter rubbish''

Of course it has to be shown in financial returns, who said it didn't??

You do not get it do you, because Ashley owns the loan/debt he has more control of how much profit he can take out of the club.

It is not rocket science is it.

Agree0 Disagree0

''And if ashley hadn't got involved where would newcaastle be in the same state as rangers or deportivo i would have thought''

EH?

Rangers are in trouble for tax dodging, different thing all together.

And Newcastle were an established premier league club before Ashley arrived, the sustained income made it possible for anyone to come to the club and carry things on so I am not sure where you get that one from.

Look at how Glazer is running Man Utd, debt is never a nice thing to have hanging over a club but it can more than certainly be managed.

Agree1 Disagree0

The club is in more debt now than it was before Ashley came to the club.

And that is because Ashley has been ruining the club.

Excuse me if I do not hail him as some kind of saviour.

Remy talking to Arsenal, Colo going to San Lorenzo. Haven't heard anything about Cabaye going. Even without that it does seem like we're going to have a struggle to stay in the PL. Doubt we'll get anyone in so now it's just about players staying fit and praying Cisse can find form

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Newcastle are stuck firmly in the Pardew Syndrom.youAshley giving him that Long contract has turned around and kicked him in the face, Can he now sack him, it will cost him a fortune, Pardew will nor be stupid enought to walk away, So it very much looks like you are stuck with him and he will take you down

With colloccini going surely our priority is two get two cb . Not really sure about a the left back bong, Anita can play in either full back positions he did for Ajax . I know that sissoko is a player that ap likes and would prefer to get him in the summer. But tiote in the afcon I think we should get him now. Plus tiote not been in the best form this season and its going to be a really hard task to get in to Europe this year, and if we are relegated we will lose a lot of players . And this saga with remy, do we really want a player who is obsivly waiting to see if a top team comes in for him, we need players that want to come and enjoy playing for us and will be loyal, like deburcy he came out and stated he wants to come here, even when juventus and Madrid were sniffing around. I think we should move on from remy and go for The striker form st etteine he's young and has more to prove and also graham from Swansea, he's supported us as a kid and would be a good. Ins: mirin, Tomkins, sissoko, Danny graham and the st etteine striker. The next four pl games ar crucial, ideally we need to win all four . If colloccini goest it could be a blessing in disguise cos he's is our highest payed player and would free up wages fror improvement .

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Nothing about Colo going would be a blessing, without him you'll see how shocking Willo and Simpson are without him to hold them up.

Heard rumours a while ago that some senior pros were unhappy with what was happening in Toon. Krul and Colo signed new contracts stating at the time " we are happy with ambition and direction of club" which now it seems was a total lie by Ashley and Pardew. Colo now wants out, how long before Krul, HBA, Cabaye, Santon, Cisse? Until this fat B*****d gets his grubby hands out of our club then i fear a relegation and NEVER get back to the top flight. Its alright all the posters on here who hang onto Ashleys coat tail saying " he has done well " he has cut debt. OPEN YOUR EYES MUGS. He is now making massive profits from our club and is refusing to reinvest anything back. Please Ashley, you are hated, leave our once proud club!!

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Totally agree he would rather buy shares in rangers then invest in us,

Agree5 Disagree2

Can you back up that he makes massive profits from the club. As far as I am aware the club finances does not show Ashley takes money out of the club. Newcastle is a business and as such you can not just take money out of the club.

Agree2 Disagree3

Nobody has taken a penny out of the club's profits so far. If they had, it would appear clearly in the annual business report.

When you see that in the accounts, you can come on here and call people mugs all you like (although to be fair, the club owes him ~£100million so he'd be entitled to take something don't you think?). Until then, you're just plain wrong.

DomW {Ed001's Note - does he receive a salary? I have to admit, I haven't had a chance to look at Newcastle's accounts yet. I have been a bit busy, I need to find the time to look through them, though I doubt it will happen until the window closes! Only that is the usual avenue for making a return from a club. For instance, David Moores used to receive a salary and he traveled VIP everywhere at Liverpool's expense, while he was the majority owner. That is the reason Liverpool dropped behind everyone else, he was investing nothing, while taking everything he could. While I am not saying Ashley is doing the same thing, it is always a possibility that he awards himself a very nice salary to get a return on his investment. Unlike Moores, who inherited the stake and then ran it into the ground, so never invested a penny to begin with!}

Agree2 Disagree1

Some people are really ignorant would you waste your money he wants the best deals he can he's not going to try and put himself out of business. you are unbelievable anyway why don't you buy the club off him and run it the way you like. kn*b

Agree2 Disagree3

Since Ashley we have bought Debuchy Santon HBA Anita Cisse (bigi Doing ok) Ba (in and out) to me that is 6 decent signings that's more than half a team. so though im not a great fan of ahley i don't think he is doing too mucch wrong

Agree1 Disagree0

6 players since 2007 and one of them is not even with us anymore, great lol...

The jury is still out on Anita and Santon too.

Can Santon Defend?

Why are Newcastle not winning games with Anita in the team. etc etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed001 - I honestly don't know if Ashley takes a salary, so that's a very god question. However, I will say that many many people in both the local media and unofficial fan sites poured through the accounts when they were published and nobody mentioned a salary for Ashley.

My feeling (without forensically checking) is that I doubt that he does. However if he does, it would have to be one helluva salary to be considered as stripping the club of funds.

If there are any economic gurus out there who have checked, I'd love to know though!

DomW {Ed001's Note - cheers mate, I doubt it would be any more than a normal director's salary, either way.}

with coloccini wanting to leave the club immediately... has pardew lost the dressing room...? ...geordie tom . ED what's your take on this mate ? {Ed013's Note - If its true, he gets to see what goes on inside the club and probably doesn't like it so see's a move away as his last big move if it happens}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cheers for getting back ...geordie tom

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Ed13 but that's just pure speculation and rumour mongering. There has never been any suggestion that a) Coloccini sees anymore behind the scenes than any other player and b) that his reasons are anything other than family related.

Guys, I will reserve my judement until the end of the transfer window. Carr is bound to have players in mind that we cannot even comprehend... look at Cisse... oosh

Also, Remy has been whored around the prem for 2 seasons now, if he really wanted to join us he would have expressed it, he is setting his sights on Arsenal... or anyone in the top 4. No point in drawing out a long saga only for Arsenal to decide with a day or so left to the transfer window that they want him and then not be able to sign anyone.

For me Rondon would be a good signing... but that is just me. Also, he would be cheaper that Remy!

Titote, not sure he is the same player, maybe we should cash in on him now and purch Mvill?

I rekon that Debuchy may play on the right against Norwich with Simo still at RB... just a thought, we all know how defensive pardew is...

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Simpson has a broken toe and is too busy playing Posh and Becks wannabe's with Tulisa.

Agree3 Disagree0

Playing a player with a broken toe, when a better player in that position has just been signed?

Debuchy will play right back. Probably Obertan infront of him. (both french speaking which may help for his first game).

Now Pardew has come out and said that it could be last 3 or 4 days of tranfer window before anyone comes in. We could be in serious trouble then. If you have to pay extra million to get a decent player now why not as evey point worth £500.000 so if that player helps you from falling into the drop zone and pulls you 2 places clear money back surely.Longer lambchops is sunning it in France the more money they are wasting too.
