reports saying Ba will leave in the first week, hopefully Liverpool or another non champions league team gets him so we can get a decent fee for him. Reports also saying that we're lining up Loic Remy as a replacement, if so I'd be happy with that

Definently need to get rid of Simpson, Williamson and jonas, if ba goes we need to snap up remy. We need another attacking midfielder, like Marin or ince.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

How can anyone disagree with this? hit the nail right on the head

Agree5 Disagree1

I completely disagree with it! We dont need an attacking midfielder, yeah we would like one, it would strenghten things, but we NEED to improve our defence before we do anything!

Agree2 Disagree3

Of course we do with out Cabaye, theres no one to pull the strings in the middle, then we just start hoofballing it up and hope it falls to the strikers.

Agree2 Disagree0

The defence is the big problem we having this season hence the lack of clean sheets.

The midfield can't do anything if the ball is continuously put over the top and not played to them

I have to have a little laugh to myself when fans come on here saying " we cant sell Tiote" Tiote is class". Class what at? Giving the ball away constantly, collecting yellow cards? If someone wants to pay 12m or so for a player that misses a third of the season through suspension, let him go. Jonas is finished, simpson plus williamson not good enough. In the summer we were an attractive proporsition to players to join us, now, who wants to join a club scrapping for their lives and by Jan window, will probs be in bottom three!! Pardews hoofball tactics is now very annoying and i just hope santa brings me my wished for present, Ashley to sell up and take his cronies away with him. ToonLoyal 1960-present.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

It has been fun watching Tiote's combative style but I have to agree, Anita is far more tidy and will miss less games, Bigirimana is only 19 and already looks like he can do what Tiote does.

Tiote will always be a folk hero for that Arsenal goal but sometimes you have to move on.

Tiote will get cards and pick up injuries from going into tackles, not only are the games he misses a problem but it takes him a few games to get up and running again which means the team has to pick up the slack while he gets back up to speed.

People were throwing around requests like 25 million for him, as much as I like the guy I reckon if we got 15 million and put it back into the team we would be far better off.

15 Million would buy a centreback and leave change to go towards another Striker, we need a forward that offers something different to Ba and Cisse who are very similar.

Agree4 Disagree2

Are you serious? Tiote is the best at what he does in the prem. He's so strong and solid, yes he can give the ball away but he can win the ball back from impossible positions. Tiote is such a key player to our squad its unreal. He's what gives us the balance of going forward and getting back. Open your eyes man.

Agree3 Disagree7

We dont even NEED another striker, so I wish people would stop saying that. We have options up front already and if Pardew stopped playing up top we would have loads more.

We need world class defensive cover in a first team CB and RB, and maybe another CB fr cover as we constantly struggle in this position.

Agree2 Disagree1

To be fair to Tiote most defensive midfielders would struggle in our team, we're always on the backfoot if we were more attacking it would ease the pressure on Tiote.

I'm not sure we would even get £10m for him so not much point selling him.

I wish everyone would stop posting on here about how we need an attacking midfielder in Jan. Cant everyone see that first of all we need to sort out our defence! If we dont get a word class CB and a RB in Jan we are going to be in a real relegation battle for sure!

Based on players we've been linked with I would LOVE by the end of January to have a team like this (bearing in mind that Cabaye & STaylor will still be injured and Tiote at AFCON)

------------------Krul------------------------
---Debuchy-----Colo----Alderweireld---Santon
-------------------Perch----------------
-------------Sissoko----Anita-------------
-----------------Ben Arfa---------------
------------Cisse--------Remy---------

There should be no reason why it shouldn't happen as non of the new players are out of our price limit, however the chances are small I know.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Not a bad looking team but I think you must have forgotten about Cabaye when you put Perch in the team.

I love tiote but he needs to look at his game at the moment watching his passes makes me think he should have gone to specsavers, he gave away another needless free kick from which they scored. What posses Pardrews mind when it comes to subs HBA off and Ameobi on thats a joke straight out off a christmas cracker..surely Marveaux for Jonas or Cisse would have been better, when we hoofed the ball they won it every time, when we ran at them we created chances. who is our defence coach (or lack of defence coach) leaving a 10 yard corridor between defence and goal from a free kick is a receipe for disaster we should defend free kicks like the one they scored from like a corner so that we run on to the ball and not back pedal towards the goal

simpson
williamson
ameobi
all need replacing and another attacking midfieler needs to be found asap

Believable12 Unbelievable0

Big mike willowtree is doing well in my opinion, two goals in a couple of weeks, well done mike.

Agree3 Disagree3

Simo another 10 crosses ! 8 came down with frost on them somewhere nr far corner flag other 2 did not get passed first man , sorry but utter rubbish . Perch better full back by a mile and he not the best , bet his crossing be better !

Loses against swansea, west ham, southampton etc etc. can someone remind me of our next 4 games!!!

I honestly feel like crying at the missed MASSIVE chance in the summer, could of built on good success, who wud want to cum to us now that would of in the summer?

We will be in the bottom 3 by January. and all pardew has said is 'weve evaluatated things and weve decided we undercooked things in the summer' nee sh-ite!

everybody on here could of told you that before a ball was even kicked

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Pardew has never had a clue and MA is proabably the worst owner in the PL. The good thing is that we have some good players but the bad thing is that they will not want to stay under MA and puppet Pardew. 8 more years, what a joke!

Agree4 Disagree2

You lot are so fickle

Agree3 Disagree4

Yeah totally agree with first post we needed to buy whilst in a position of strength, start of the season we could have offered potential signings european football and a club thats going places, now ask your self what can we offer potential signings ,yeah we are still in europe ,but we have more chance of being relegated than qualifying for uefa again,we are weaker this year due to the extra games in europe something most newcastle fans knew but the management didnt.

as plane as the nose on your face MR Ashley spend some money come january or we are in deep sh.t...we need at least four players main concern for me is we need a commanding centre half ( someone like hangeland ) another centre forward ( looks like BA will be gone in next window ) ive said all along we need a nippy forward ( a beardsley type forward who can take people on in and around the box i know we've got ben arfa but cant rely on him all the time ) a mobile midfielder who can carry the ball ( coz iam sick of the long ball tactics it dont work ffs ) anyway my thoughts geordie tom

How many decent crosses did Simpson put in. No Steven Taylor replaced with wobbly Williamson. Bobby.

Surely its time up for Pardew? WIth the Jan transfer coming up we need someone who can motivate our players

would you agree we need to set up a campaign Pardew Out

Believable7 Unbelievable6

God talk about fickle fans ffs ...geordie tom

Agree4 Disagree4

Agree, Geordie Tom. At least give him to the end of the season before judging him (and yes, I'm sure we'll still be in BPL then). One great season should give him leeway for one mediocre one.

Awful again but I'm not suprised. Don't think I could watch our games if we didn't have Ben Arfa!

Cisse should just sit in the oppositions six yard box save himself from running into an offside position.
Maybe we should try Tavernier at CB atleast he has the pace to recover if he makes a mistake unlike Williamson.
Jonas has to be dropped I know people will say he works his socks off but so does Anita the difference being Anita brings more to the team.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Chickens home to roost. Did not the majority of fans predict and expect this awful predicament and ut us a predicament
Perhaps when QPR win their first game against us and Blunderland pass us before Xmas these persons eho eun abd iwn this club will wake up.
But it will be too late. Amatures playing at running a football club
