Quite a few sites saying Arsenal "seem to have won the race for Gervinho." Probably old news by now but whichever.

glad to see cabaye has finally signed. hopefully this will be followed by gervinho.

I believe at this time gervinho himself does not no who to sign for, depending on what you read he has either decided to sign for us, arsenal, spurs, man city or is stayin at lille. who knows? hopefully he can make his mind up in the next few days for the benefit of everyone involved. Personally i wouldn't mind if he does not come aslong as we can get nzogbia, who apparently wants to come back.

HBA Tiote Cabaye Gervinho/nzogbia.

quality midfeild. all we need then is a couple of decent strikers, otherwise we will have a world class midefeild with a league one strike force, oops.

why not try and focus on a few bids i mean the percentages are something like this for people to sign for us
N'zogbia 50%
Cabaye 85%
Gervinho 35%
Gameiro 15%
Ba 45%
Berbatov 25%
Drogba 0% its not going to happen live with it

Surely cabaye is at least 99% as he has all but signed. gemeiro is 5% and drogba 5%.

You lot need to get real the only one of them you will sign is cabeye the rest are goin to bigger clubs still as deluded as eva

Cabaye and Tiote in the middle is pure quality
With Ben Arfa and maybe N'Zogbia on the wings cutting in is going to be a hell of a force !
Still need 2 strikers which should be Ba and Sturridge !

The defence needs to be strengthened as Williamson is poo and Simpson can't defend , personally i feel S.Taylor should be played as a right back and Bougherra or Boyata should be bought in as centre back

Nolan has been great for us , leading scorer and Captain but last season he looked half dead and too me not good enough to keep up with the pace of the likes of Essien , Wilshere , Fabregas

If that was the team, I would prefer Sturridge on his own, HBA just behind and Jonas on the wing. I like Jonas, think his a bit underated.

Jonas underated ? What !? He is awful ! He is a huge fanny and tries to tip toe around players instead of going in at them like HBA or N'Zog ! Sell him i say and use the money for a better player

I agree i feel Jonas is underated last season he was the only player that attacked the opposition and made us a threat in final third. He deffo should be kept. (WelshToon)

As dissapointing and frustrating as he can be sometimes he was our best attacking threat last season and the fact it is impossible to predict what he is going to do is why most defences struggle against him.

Going for big players like what Newcastle are doing is showing the ambition of the club where as Sunderland are happy to clear the s**t out of Man U. Also we are going to get rejected by players but it only takes a few to say yes just like Cabaye. Also the only reason you's are signing those 3 is so Bruce can lick Fergies ass in the hope of getting the Man U job when Ferguson retires.

how come every player we are linked with is french or from the french league? has wenger took over our transfers?

They're cheapish, and on rubbish wages (in football terms) at their own clubs. So it makes it easier to tempt them over here with a 200-300% increase in wages. Plus there is some real quality in the French Leagues. Oh and of course, the French media have been singing out praises due to the whole treatment of Ben Arfa while he was injured, so it gives us more chance of them coming to us rather than to another english club

Replacing our best players (nolan, barton) with young unproven french players is a HUGE risk if u ask me give these men the contracts they deserve an d sign the french players so we can thrive as a quality unit and make our way bk up the prem where we shud be

Just to clear things up, Gervinho IS signing for NUFC. 3 supposed agents on twitter said he was signing for Arsenal. today they've deleted their accounts Hmm strange?. . even stranger is. Arsenal have opened talks with Lille about Eden Hazard hmmm strange? which is even stranger then the ones above is. on every arsenal blog they've stopped talking about Gervinho they've finally realised hes rejected them think back to the 30th of May when Gervinho said I've made my choice Arsenal wasnt even in the running then, Arsenal need to sell before they can sign anyone and they havert made a bid Gervinho wants to play along side Tiote and wants to partner with cabaye once again as they have a great understanding. Cabaye will sign tomorrow, N zogbia having a medical on Tuesday before signing with in the next 2 weeks after a 10m bid was accepted he told wigan he would hand in a transfer request and refuse to play if a bid wasn't accepted off NUFC by time he gets back from international duty, Marvin will also sign for 7.8m this is carrs top reconmendation and he was watched by scouts for france this week which has presuaded n'castle to make the bid before other teams beat them to it, Enrique will sign a new deal, as Barca are going all out for Fabregas and Rossi and they can't afford Enrique aswell as they only have 45m euro to spend plus player sales, Gameiro will sign for NUFC in the next 2 weeks he is flying over to Newcastle tomorrow to have a look around the city and see the stadium before making a decision Newcastle have offered a 5 yr deal worth 48k a week, PSG are yet to bid and their take over still isn't complete no funds have been made avaliable and Gamiero wants his future sorting now rather then later as he wants to go on holiday for a short break, Expect, Barton, lovenkrands smith guthire and jonas to all leave, Boudebouz could be signed for cover due to Gervinho who will be on african nations duty in Jan! that's all
