Sunderland fan here not being funny but youse need strikers Siem de Jong is a top player and is wanted by top teams around Europe and loic remy is going to court and bent is 30 year old and close to hull deal so who will youse get (realistically)
I reckon we have a chance on siem de jong, perhaps remy with a clause or something if he is found guilty. But again with lack of transfer activity, most of our targets have all been snapped up, so I expect to see some graham carr gems (young players that we don't really know)

Can't believe Everton have got Deulofeu on loan for a year. Why were we not in for him. Plays on the left is skilful and creative and can score goals. He is one of the best youngsters in Europe. Yet again we are not in for the top players available. Is Carrs scouting really that good?
Because old Joe is in charge of transfers. Do you work while you're on holiday?

Makum here - I would say stop panicking about not signing anyone. We've signed loads and more to follow because we needed to sign loads of 1st teamers, squad players and development players. You signed a few in January and you state they need time to settle in and you will see them better for it this season - well imagine signing a whole new raft of players - we will struggle for them all to settle in and I expect a season hovering in the lower parts of the league. Is anyone else concerned that we are the only EPL team not to have strengthened so far? I put on a brave face but to be honest it bothers me alot. We are being linked to loads but most of it appears rubbish idol gossip. i'm becoming quite disheartened with it all.
Id even take a rubbish 1 goal in 22 games striker (dig and smb and Altidore) but really I just want movement.
Feel exactly the same. If we don't do something soon we might as well start the season with the same squad as we finished last year. They keep saying that the French players will be better after having a full pre-season with Newcastle but if we are going to wait till the last minute to try to sign someone it's going to take a half the season to settle in. Not to mention panic buys.
Again with the Altidore bull! Running scared the lot of ya!

I'm sorry but even with the likes of maybe cavanda, altidore, duncan, diakite, sessegnon, johnson, fletcher, n'diaye, insigne I don't think they are as good as coloccini m'biwa sissoko cabaye ben arfa cisse, santon, debuchy, tiote, krul. Sorry mate but if Newcastle were making those signings you would be over the moon if pardews happy with his squad and thinks you only need 2 signings then I think there is only one nutter as for pdc he knows that sunderlands squad was thin so he is trying to improve it so as a sunderland fan I feel more happy with what's going on at our club all round than what most Newcastle fans think about what is happening at st james park.
Most of the players your signing are not proved in a big league or a small league for that matter so I would rather wait for the right signings then sign anyone.
SMB we could do a lot better than roberge, altidore, diakite, cabral, ba etc. they're all cheap average crap. Look forward to seeing you do a QPR and sacking di canio in december

I can't believe we haven't made one signing yet (Apart from Kemen) Even Everton have made about 3 signings and we've got way more money than them. What are we waiting for? Surely we must have at least 1 signing secured, just kept away from the media. Its ridiculous, we must be like the only team in the prem who hasn't made a signing yet.
Everton's signings have been rubbish though.
Plus they could still lose players.
That's because Everton have a better manager are more successful and are a better run club than Newcastle.

The only forwards Newcastle have said they are intrested in is Bent and Remy so gess which forwards we are trying to sign?. 1 of them players will partner cisse so forget any other strikers some deluded fans think we will be signing. Remy will only come if Ashley is willing to spend 8mil if not then Bent for 4-5mil is newcastles back up plan.

5 weeks until the season starts and no one in yet. I've always been optimistic during windows but this summer I'm just down about it. Really don't think we're going to get anyone of note. All for the sake of penny pinching. Convinced that Ashley will be happy if we finish just outside bottom three every season.

Yohan Cabaye 25mill? no one will buy him for that price we need to drop it down to about 12mill or he will be a Toon player next season, all this talk of Bent and Remy as well Bent is almost 30 his wages are 75k a week and he's an ex Mackem, as for Remy he turned us down for QPR and more wages so it looks like we are desperate for sloppy seconds for the pair of them embarrassing targets.
No his value is around 15-20m, however we would only sell him for around 30m, almost exactly the same as the Carroll situation.
