Managers are allowed to declare interest in other players. Just like every other club declares their interest in players

Why are we not interested in bringing in hoillett and samba, two very good players with proven premiership quality and both available for extremely cut prices due to their contract disputes, i cant think of any better signings for us then these 2 players.
Samba doens't necessarily fit the policy, i think the price being quoted for hoilett is too much for a player out of contract in 6 months. Newcastle would hope to wait until the end of the season and let a tribunal set the fee.

Newcastle wont sign anyone, reckon Colo and Simpson might sign new contracts and Pardew will dub that as "like having two new signings" and then go onto say he's happy with what he's got and he doesnt want to mess with the team that has done so well this season.

Spanish Govt. has imposed heavy tax(approx 50percent) on player wages. . .if we use our predatory scouting skills we could have a world class team . . . {Ed001's Note - that is only the same tax as they would get here, I don't see how it will make any difference.}
Most of the wages players get are after tax i think anyway.

Well here we are again talking about potential owners! As much as I hate Ashley he ain't gona lose money on us so £350m seems to be round about what he wants for club! As for Branson it's widely know that's he's interested in buying a football club! Weather it's us or not he will own a club soon enough! It would make sense that he cud be interested in toon as he is a fan and has already got a shirt sponsor with us! Let's see what happens

Apparently Hamdi Salihi of Rapid Vienna is available for £500,000. He is a 26 year old striker and looking at his statistics has not a bad scoring rate.
94 games for Rapid Vienna 57 goals and a career total of 330 games - 184 goals.
Now a lot of people might say he is in a nobody league but a certain Nikica Jelavic played for the same team and his statistics were 93 games for Rapid Vienna 40 goals and a career total of 212 games - 85 goals.
If he is being touted for a prem move 8-10m then surely this guy is worth a punt?
