why all the infatuation over a striker defence was a shambles last year with nearly 70 goals conceded

Nearly 70 goals conceded because of lack of fitness, gelling time with the new boys and players like ferguson, williamson in the team.

Ferguson started four PL games and some of those were LM, how you can put the blame on him for us conceding so many goals is beyond me.

Says you, the transfer window doesn't even open till july 1st and transfer rumours, teams predictions purely based on peoples opinions. there's no reason to panic or get concerned because it will be sorted.

Just because window doesn't open, doesn't mean we shouldn't be doing business. look around you, pleanty of other clubs announcing new signings.
