New signings looked class today (apart from Mitrovic's miss) however defensively still a mess. Mcclaren said it's crunch time now in terms of who's going to be sold, Williamson and Gouffran need to be out the door immediately!

When will you wake up 4 players played today that should be nowhere near the first team the 2 you mention and Saylor and Anita
Never mind a close defeat at home to Southampton will keep you happy, 0-3 looks more realistic.
The manager is showing iis weakness already in playing these players and Collocini will only add to the woe.

2nd rate it is not good enough mind you with JT easy to please and a few more no problems.

New players need bedding in but agree McLaren must have problems thinking Williams & Saylor have anything to offer
whilst Obertan is not a foitballer with Anita stop gap.
Crucial week ahead and at least one quality defender needed now.

Vida you just can't stand people being optimistic. I'd say there were more positives rather than negatives today. A side we were against who finished 3rd in the bundesliga narrowly beat us and we didn't even have our strongest team out and there's no doubt we were unlucky. In McClaren we trust.

I think it was fair of McClaren to say at the start of pre season that he was going to hand everyone a clean slate and that includes the likes of Williamson and therefor I think he will know he's nowhere near good enough.

With you and McLaren on the same wave length JT we will have a bit better season than last BUT not much better
Everyone knows Williamson Obertan Gouffran Saylot are rubbish and Anita is poor and to deny the kids a chance to play in their positions is criminal.

Sissoko playing to get away at least 2 defenders 1 Striker and Winger short, Optimistic your having a larf,but respectfully JT you have the optimisim for both of us so that's enough fir now just don't ask me to jump on the waggon until these things change,

JT all McLaren has to do is look at the videos of last season
Some people buy players from videos (stupidly) a blind man on a galloping horse can see Williamson Obertan Gouffran are pathetic and Taylor and Anita just get bye

Chance they are taking good young players places
If he don't buy before the cliose of the windiow we will have big problems
And sell Cisse and Abeid And build a good squad

I don't think you can say he hasn't given the kids a chance. Woodman, Bigirimana, Satka, Armstrong and Aaronshave all featured in pre season

Well JT the players I mentioned played we already know are not good enough so why play them?
he needs his head looking at because they are hopefully going & 1/2 young players could learn a lot playong in a reasonable team
Jury still out on McLaren and I am one of them.

Because art, McClaren vowed to give everyone a clean slate after the last years mess, which has obviously given some of the fringe players a point to prove, and I thought Obertan looked pretty good today.

He's had four years at club it's obvious he's not good enough to inconsistent and that pass he does weak outside the foot pass always does it he only looks good in friendlys

I think the point JT makes is that McClaren is giving people a chance to up their performances. Remember - Williamson played very well during the season we finished 5th. Maybe he can re-discover that form - if not, McClaren will get rid.
Though I still do agree with some of the other comments, I feel he should have had an idea of who he will be keeping en eye on. I'm sure he would've come in on day one and said, Krul, Janmaat, Sissoko etc I want to keep. But judgement on the others has taken far too long. We haven't purchased any squad players yet either. I'm a little worried but eager to give it 6 weeks to see what this new coaching setup will bring to us.
